Yakuza PSP demo now available for all to enjoy

While Yakuza’s debut on the PSP may only be destined for Japan, that doesn’t mean the rest of us can’t at least try a sample of it.  With the game set for release in Japan next month, a demo has finally been released so we can all see if Yakuza’s jump to the PSP was worth the wait.

The demo allows players can partake in the new fighting mechanics of Yakuza’s PSP entry as well as soaking up the general atmosphere of Kamurocho.  The demo is of course in Japanese so don’t expect to make any sense of the cutscenes or plot elements that are given. But despite the language barrier, one should still be able to appreciate the ability to kick some ass on the streets of Japan as a rebellious youth.

Those who want to try out the demo should head over to the Japanese site 4Gamer as they have a download link up. Just scroll to the middle of the page until you see the slightly pink button with red text above it and that’s where the Yakuza goodness can be accessed.  To play the demo you’ll need to have PSP firmware 6.31 so if you have downloaded it already now would be a good time.

I haven’t gotten a chance to try out the demo yet but I will this afternoon and maybe I’ll put together some videos for everyone.
