L.A. Noire has been in development for an incredibly long time and virtually hasn’t made any sort of public showing that shows us the true face of the game. Yeah sure, that CG teaser trailer from a few years ago was cool but it was a CG teaser trailer and not the real deal.
After being completely in the dark about L.A. Noire the first few gameplay details have trickled in and now we have our first proper look at the game thanks to Game Informer. Looking at these images I kind of don’t know what to think. Perhaps I’m one of the many who built up their own slightly unrealistic vision of what the game would look like only to be pulled down to reality upon looking at these pics.
The game doesn’t look bad by any means but it seems to be in a middle ground of sorts between GTAIV and the amazing looking Mafia 2. Maybe I’m being too much of a graphics whore right now and I of course won’t pass judgment at this early state since we haven’t even seen the game in motion.
Check out GameInformer.com for all the L.A. Noire screens.
Really liked the Mafia series hope that this offers a GTA open world experience inside Mafia setting.
yeah its def. has a Mafia feel to it,but i still have yet to read GI's story.
I'm interested in more of the game-play aspect of this title. Something tells me this game wont be very action orientated rather seems to involve more sleuthing than running around and shooting

Yeah I hope the main focus of the game is on the detective aspect of the game. If it offers a rich experience in that regard then I'll be fine with whatever graphical shortcomings it has.
And a bit more difficult, perhaps? All GTA's have been is blatantly easy.
I want a good story. If it can give me that then I will be happy. I also want some interesting side stories that aren't part of the main plot.

What about Red Dead Redemption? That game's looking great as well.
