It’s safe to say that if you’re between the ages of 18-30 that you were part of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles craze at some point. During the mid 80s and early 90s it was all about Turtle Power whether it was from the comic, cartoon or the various live action movies. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the TMNT franchise and to commemorate it a fan is showing his love for the franchise by making a documentary.
Now this isn’t some low level documentary that merely talks with some fans and is something that you would watch casually on YouTube to waste some time. Instead the project is a serious documentary that not only has some fan segments but actually talks to those responsible for bringing the Turtles to life. Director Isaac Eliott Fisher sits down with the TMNT creators Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird along with chatting with the voice cast for the original TMNT cartoon. The film side of the franchise is also represented as Mr. Fisher has a chat with Brian Henson to discuss how it was bringing the Turtles to life through the use of animatronics.
An exact release date for the documentary hasn’t been announced but I suggest you check out the official site to stay up to date with the latest developments. It’s nice that someone is finally giving fans an inside look at the TMNT franchise in a documentary that looks to be quite good.
ages 18-25 only grew up with the Turtles? I was digging the Turtle when they first came out! Of course I'm dating myself but meh. I loved the Turtles when they first came out and at some point they need to leave them alone. They are just diluting the memories with each re-incarnation of the Turtles every once in awhile so they can supposedly re-introduce the Turtles to newer generations. I'll be interested in seeing this documentary as it will surely bring back some fond memories of my youth minus all the beatings and rapes.
I've slightly adjusted my age range, which wasn't meant to say those were the onl y ones who grew up with the Turltes.
Turtles are back!!!! this is nice. turtles can take over again. they just need a good team that will make new great shows. i wanna see a new TMNT show in anime style.

Kick ass! I loved the TMNT. And this is great for us that were all rabid fans when we were kids. They tried to bring back some of the older TMNT magic but the games/cartoon/movies didn't do the original any justice. Keeping an eye out one more info on this. Great find Ian!!!
thats awesome it would be great to see this the turtles are a very important part of my child hood

This is awesome! I grew up with them and would be really interested in this docu. Very exciting stuff.
