Still Want More Mortal Kombat: Legacy Pre-Release Goodness? Well Here's A New Pic Featuring Scorpion

In case you didn’t quite get your fill of Mortal Kombat: Legacy goodness with the teaser clip and Sub-Zero image that were released, then perhaps a new pic of Scorpion will satisfy you until the Tuesday premier of the web series.  So far we haven’t exactly gotten complete character profile shots for the characters included in Mortal Kombat: Legacy but series Director Kevin Tancharoen has taken to his Twitter account to give us yet another small but very revealing image of one of the most iconic characters in the Mortal Kombat franchise.

The image we have today featuring our favorite yellow ninja doesn’t show him getting ready to make someone all toasty, but instead shows Scorpion, or rather Hanzo, getting ready to enter battle. From what we know about the Scorpion/Sub-Zero episode the plot reportedly delves into the backstory of Scorpion and why he’s so pissed off at Scorpion (killing a man’s family will leave you with a bad temper).  While we don’t see Scorpion in battle mode, this latest teaser image does show off the detail found in Scorpion’s costume and how it differs from the leather look found in Sub-Zero’s design.

We may finally be receiving the first episode of the Mortal Kombat web series on April 12th, but it still hasn’t been said what the exact schedule for the web series is in relation to which episodes will feature characters like Scorpion or even Johnny Cage.  So for all we know we may end up having to wait a few weeks before we see the spine ripping action that’s to be had in the Scorpion & Sub-Zero episode.

I don’t know if I’m in complete fanboy mode, but what does everyone else think of Scorpion’s costume? The overall quality of Mortal Kombat: Legacy (which will feature some major CG action) continues to impress me since this isn’t looking like some B-grade action project thrown together to capitalize on the impending release of the new Mortal Kombat game.

The exact expectations Warner Brothers has for Mortal Kombat: Legacy are unknown, but it would be terrific if we either got another series or dare to dream a new MK movie at some point.
