While dancing around in your room, with the lights off, in your underwear is fun for anyone. It holds a special place in the heart of the star wars fan who owns a replica light saber. While some might not understand this joy, many will understand the excitement around the new venture from BioWare. Star Wars, The old Republic will bring that same underpants joy felt by the avid star fan, to your own personal computer monitor.
However, with the game slotted for early 2010 we can only wait and see how good or bad this massive MMO will be. To bide the time, a few of the community members have gone ahead and put together this podcast to inform those less vigilant forum goers' about the game the community and what too expect in 2010.

Just finished listening to this podcast and it's spot on for a first show.
I have never delved into MMO's but I LOVED KOTR 1 & 2 and played through both good and evil. I always wanted to play the star wars MMO but was warned to stay far far far away from it as it was highly un-balanced and everyone was a Jedi ahah.
This MMO has huge potential and a lot of the things you talked about like user generated content would be amazing. Other aspects like the hench-men features could be a huge bust...but then again it could play out similar to animals / beasts in WOW?
And I agree! Why do people look sick just because they are on the dark side! I love playing Dark side in KOTOR.

When I bought my lightsaber replica that's pretty much how every night for a solid week was spent. ahahah
