What is it: Evangelion 1:80 Scale Statue

Why would it be cool to own?: I'll be upfront and say that I've never seen Evangelion before. When it comes to big mechs blowing crap up I'm more of a Gundam and Big O type guy. But despite my lack of knowledge when it comes to Evangelion and its universe, I'm still impressed by this amazing statue. I'm used to Gundam statues that come in at around 10-12 inches which is simply puny compared to the towering height of the Evangelion statue which stands at 39 inches. There's no denying that mechs are awesome and this Evangelion statue is one of the coolest I've laid eyes on.

Why can’t I have it?:The bigger something is the more expensive it'll be and that rings true with the statue as it retails for $1999. For the price of a reasonable TV or a moped you can have 39 inches of anime goodness in your home. But alas I won't be able to enjoy such nice things anytime soon.

What is it: Thor's hammer, from Museum Replicas.

Why it would it be cool to own?: I'm not a huge fan of Thor or anything, he'd definitely not my favorite in the Avengers. He's probably not even in the top three. But I do have a thing for the mythos of his hammer. The fact that only some can wield it, and to others it will be too heavy to lift... The ability it has to make Thor fly, and have control over lightning. This is a replica I would love to be able to pull out every now and then to feel extra bad-ass. Plus if I ever had to defend myself, it looks like it could do some damage.

Why can’t I have it?: Aside from the fact that it has a $400 price tag associated with it, the thing is back ordered. These replicas are limited, numbered, editions and you can only purchase them during short windows. One day when money isn't and issue, and they are in stock though... you can expect me to get one to adorn my desk.

What is it: TMNT Pizza Van

Why it would be cool to own?: Need I say more this thing screams the end of an era of epic movies. It also reminds me of the time i nearly put my best friends eye out with a flying pizza...

Why can’t I have it? No reason, I just know it'd be one of those items that can't be appreciated till i have a "Games" room. Aka: cool useless crap hanging room.

What is it: 1/6th scale War Machine collectible

Why it would be cool to own?:Hot Toys is world renowned for their amazing life like scale toys. This is no exception. I present to you the 1/6th scale War Machine collectible from the Iron Man 2 movie. A movie-accurate War Machine that is not only highly detailed but it's fully loaded with crazy features including 36 points of articulation, light-up chest core, eyes and hand repulsors, mountable and rotatable shoulder weapons and a flip up mask that reveals a ridiculously detailed Don Cheadle. This would look god damn sexy on my desk, above my turntables, on my coffee table, in my bathroom or pretty much any other place I put it.

Why can’t I have it ?: Well...this may or may not be en-route to me right now. Expect a review.

What is it: Masters of The Universe Classics line - Princess Adora

Why it would be cool to own?: Growing up, I was really into cartoons. A lot of them shaped who I am, and what my tastes are today. And I still have yet to grow out of cartoons - my DVD collection is a testament to this. Out of all of the cartoons I watched, She-ra had the most influence on me. She was hot, had a feisty attitude, and kicked some serious ass. I've always admired her, and looking back on it, she was a pretty rocking role model for a little girl.

I'm 5 figures away from completely the collection of vintage She-ra action figures, but one figure that was never made, was Adora. Adora is to She-ra as Peter Parker is to Spiderman; and while not as bad-ass as her She-ra alter ego, she was awesome in her own right. When I worked in Account Security at eBay, I used Adora as my alias. Needless to say, I'm beyond thrilled that Mattel has ressurected the Masters of The Universe and Princess of Power lines. They've been releasing classically inspired figureines for adult collectors, and they really got it right with Adora. Finally, after all of these years, Adora is here! She's well sculpted, and walks the line between bad-ass and smoking hot quite well. And her boobs are not too ginormous, which is something that really pisses me off in female action figures.

Why can’t I have it?: Unfortunately, I was completely broke when the Adora figure went up for sale - she sold out within 30 minutes if my memory serves correctly. At some point, I'll need to pick this figure up on eBay, I just hate giving the eBay scalpers my money. My 'runner up' figure for this topic would have to be Mo-larr the Eternian Dentist, which is a He-man character created by the creative minds of Robot Chicken. It's being released as a Comic-Con exclusive figure in San Diego this year, and will come complete with Skeletor, missing a tooth! I had such a hard time deciding between the two, I just had to sneak a mention of him in.

I opted for the regular Iron Man Hot Toys, which is also on it's way simply because i didn't want him scuffed up hahahaahha. But The Battle Damage one shows off way more cool stuff cause you can totally replace his chest plate, or take it right off along with open all his arm compartments and wrist gauntlets. A very very very awesome figure indeed!

Yeah, I remember seeing that one as well. The site where I found this model of Thor's hammer also had the big one you're talking about. I like this one a bit better though, it's classic Thor. Plus it has the quote on it. :D
