I never thought I would say this but Rockstar Games is actually starting to make themselves look bad. No, I’m not talking about the recent rumors of employees working 7 days a week for 20 hours a day. I’m instead referring to how amazing Red Dead Redemption looks and how it makes GTA4 look like child’s play by comparison. Now I’m not trying to start a flame war or anything but the level of detail, overall atmosphere, the unique characters and stellar visuals of RDR makes GTA4 a bit archaic by comparison.
This latest trailer for Red Dead Redemption may not be as action packed as the previous one and instead focuses a bit more on the characters you’ll encounter. While some of the eccentric folks you’ll come across in RDR may not be as loveable as Roman from GTA4, they still look to have that classic Rockstar edge while maintaining a few of the familiar traits that we often see in Western movies. And who doesn't love a morally gray character or general anti-hero, especially when they're an agent of the law?
Also, is it me or does that portly deputy look like an actor? I’m trying to nail down who he looks like but the best I’m coming up with is the he looks like a more put together version of Sloth from The Goonies.
This game indeed looks better than GTA IV, even the trailers. If this game gets a higher difficulty than GTA, which is one of the easiest games ever, then there's a chance I might consider getting it.
