More Content Coming to Evolve - Not Just Skins

Are you already getting the hang out of the available hunters on Evolve since it dropped? Well, good news: it's time to try something new.
2K Games and Turtle Rock Studios have announced that on March 31, they're throwing down four brand-new hunter classes to play, as well as one new monster. The better news is that if you don't purchase it, you'll still be able to play with or against them online, so you won't be delegated to the dark corners of the Internet for people who don't buy DLC.

PlayStation Retrospective: Jade Cocoon

Does anyone here remember Poké-Mania? These days, Pokémon clones are a dime a dozen. Just log onto iStore or Google Play and I'm sure you'll find another soulless Pokémon clone with poorly designed monsters. But back in the tail-end of the '90s, the subgenre of Pokémon clones was just beginning, and back then they actually tried. Some games had their charms like Monster Rancher. Others like Digimon, had awesome monsters, but failed to find their footing in the gaming world.

New Nintendo Hardware Hinted

A scant two and a half years into the Wii U's admittedly worrisome sales life, Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata is starting to leak ideas about Nintendo's "next hardware", codenamed NX.

Come on fellas, even the Dolphin is more creative than that.

As far as the actual hardware though (which was asked about at a shareholders' meeting), Iwata-san made a point of saying that Nintendo was "not at a dead end of any kind in which we are out of ideas", and made a point of saying "we first make sure that those who have already purchased out platforms are satisfied."

PlayStation Retrospective: War of the Monsters

Developed by the team that brought us Twisted Metal - I was sold. That is, literally, all it took for me to purchase this PlayStation 2 title without ever hearing about it prior to seeing it on the store shelf back in 2003. That little logo (of the now defunct) Incognito team was the biggest selling point for me. Probably one of the best decisions I've made in my life! (I've had a pretty tame life.)

Quipbox is Jackbox Games' Kickstarter Project

Every second week or so, I host a board-game night at my house. This has served as an excuse for me, personally, to break out of the video game routine and try something a little different. However, after the release of the Jackbox Party Pack (a collection of games from YDKJ makers Jackbox) it seems all anyone wants to play anymore is Drawful.

Ermac's New Fatality Leaves the Internet Gutted

Mortal Kombat's history is one built on controversy. At the very dawn of violent video games, it was hassled by all kinds of concerned parties for its use of blood, violence, and inclusion of features like the Fatalities. Of course, we've come a long way since then. Games these days are far, far worse than what we were so concerned about back then... so Mortal Kombat itself needs to keep upping the ante.

Xenoverse Receives First DLC Pack Tomorrow

If you've been following the site the last little while, you know that I'm a fan of Dragon Ball Xenoverse. I gave it a pretty favourable review and I haven't been able to stop talking about it on Radial Dialogue. Further, people who ask me what I'm playing these days always get an earful about my current addiction.

PS Retrospective: Twisted Metal Series

To kick-off PlayStation month, we're going to look back at the series that made me the loyal PlayStationite I am today: Twisted Metal. Twisted Metal not only secured my purchase of the first gen PlayStation, it also began my obsession with vehicular combat games.

Not sure what vehicular combat games are? Well, that's because they are an endangered genre these days. But back in the mid-to-end 90's, it was all the craze. Carmageddon, Interstate 76, Vigilante 8... all these existed because of Twisted Metal.

Radial Dialogue - Episode 8 - Powers on PSN and Titanfall DLC

Wow, apparently I am terrible at things. I seriously need to consider putting a secretary on the payroll because I simply overlooked the reposting of Radial Dialogue Episode 8 on the homesite this past Wednesday. Apologies for those that watch it here! I would make some joke about "make sure to follow us on Twitch" but it seems a little tacky, all things considered.

Harmonix Taking Requests for Rock Band 4

As mentioned in Adam's subsequent editorial, on a few episodes of Radial Dialogue, we're pretty excited about Rock Band 4. We knew it was coming, but it didn't hinder the excitement the actual (official) announcement brought us in the slightest. So while we appreciate that maybe not everyone is hyped up for the fourth instalment of Harmonix's Guitar Hero successor...
