Premier trailer for Deus Ex: Human Revolution

Late last night some screens leaked for the Deus Ex 3 trailer, and like clockwork the trailer was released shortly after.  The trailer itself is rather short and is literally the images we already saw, but now we can appreciate things more thanks to the high-end quality of the pre-rendered visuals.

The trailer itself is impressive, despite its short nature. Seeing a pair of sunglasses sprout out from a man’s face is rather a cool visual. Besides featuring the built-in Ray-Ban's, the protagonist (Adam) also has some sort of cybernetic blade weapon. You know you’re a bad-ass when you have the ability to sprout sunglasses and a long wrist blade from your body.

Actual details on the game are still a bit light, but it has been reported that the game is a prequel to the first Deus Ex and will feature a metaphor involving The Renaissance period.  Based on some concept art that was shown in a GDC presentation yesterday, the Renaissance metaphor is somewhat deeply rooted in the game as character art. The costumes were reminiscent of what you would expect to see from the Renaissance era, albeit with a cyberpunk feel.

So far, even in this early state, Deus Ex 3 has a lot of promise so hopefully Square Enix/Eidos won't let us down.
