The re-mastered Zelda game has been the talk of the Nintendo 3DS since it was announced at last year’s E3 Conference. That being said, get your calendars, BlackBerrys and wall paint ready, because you’re going to want to write this down. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D will launch on June 19 in North America.
The best selling handheld device saw a very successful launch, but fell short on anticipated launch titles. Ocarina will be the first of many re-mastered titles heading for the 3D makeover. Fox McCloud and Mario will soon follow Link.
"Following a tremendous launch for Nintendo 3DS, our roster of upcoming games for Wii and all of our hand-held systems will keep the momentum going strong into summer," said Marc Franklin, Nintendo of America's director of Public Relations.
Ocarina of Time will feature new challenges not included in the original game. Zelda veterans will enjoy the Master Quest – a second quest with revamped puzzles and redesigned dungeons.
I cannot wait for this game to be released. Since playing the original on Nintendo 64, I’ve been waiting to replay one of the biggest staples in gaming. This year’s E3 Conference starts June 7 and you can expect Nintendo to ride Epona straight into the expo.
