Just the other day I was thinking about Namco Bandai’s upcoming noir action game Dead to Rights: Retribution. Being a huge fan of DtR on the PS2 I’ve been keeping a close eye on this reboot/reimaging of the franchise. After being on the under the radar for awhile, Namco Bandai has released some new screens and a trailer of the bloody violent goodness that is DtR: Retribution.
The original Dead to Rights was dark and violent but it almost pales in comparison to what Retribution offers. Brutal hand to hand combat and gunplay that at times defies the laws of physics is only a fraction of what the game offers. It after all is a noir tale and that’s rather apparent in the first few minutes of the trailer. Serious voice over, foreboding music and dark setting = noir game confirmed.
Dead to Rights: Retribution is set for an April 27th release on the PS3 and Xbox 360.
