New F.E.A.R. 3 trailer shows an apocalyptic landscape

Just like a dozen other games originally slated for release this year, the next installment of the F.E.A.R. franchise been bumped to the exceedingly packed early 2011 schedule.  It certainly has been awhile since we last saw F.E.A.R. 3, which now allows gamers to play as both of Alma’s children – the heroic Point Man and the recently deceased baddy Paxton Fettel.

The visceral, scary and highly violent action of F.E.A.R. 3 may be a ways off, but watching this new trailer may satisfy those fans who are bummed out they aren’t getting their hands on the game now.  Titled “Almaverse”, the trailer shows what the world looks once the power of Alma (creepy long haired girl) goes haywire – thus throwing things in for a loop.  The familiar F.E.A.R. 3 hobo enemies once again make an appearance in the trailer, along with a few other beasts/mutants – one of which looks like Reptile from the first Mortal Kombat movie.

I kind of prefer the style of the other F.E.A.R. 3 trailers, but this new one isn’t too bad and at least WB Games is still giving us some media.  Even though the game is still a few months from release, I wouldn’t be surprised if we get a sudden media influx in October to coincide with Halloween.
