Mad Max vs. Metal Gear Solid V on September 1st!

Today seems all about the head-to-head! Not only did Unity fire back at Unreal going free today, but it looks like both Mad Max and Metal Gear are looking to stake a claim on September the first!

Unity 5 Joins Unreal Engine 4 in Being Free

Yesterday Unreal announced that they were making their fourth iteration of the toolset (Unreal Engine 4) free. These both came as both a surprise and great news for the development community. However, Unity (arguably Unreal's biggest competition these days) wasn't far behind.

Radial Dialogue - Episode 4 - House of Cards and GDC

This morning we recorded another new episode of Radial Dialogue. Unfortunate it didn't include Jen because she's out sick today, but we did get to play some SpeedRunners, which is awesome in of itself. We also talked some of the news coming out of GDC this week, including Clayfighter, Unreal Engine going free, and Trine 3!

Clayfighter HD Coming in 2016

Serendipity is a curious thing. Just last week while working my way through Kirby's newest adventure, The Rainbow Curse, I mentioned on Twitter that it gave me a hankering for some new Clayfighter action. Today we get the announcement of an HD remake of Clayfighter coming in 2016.

The details are expected sparse at this point, but things we do know about the game is that it will be a full reworking of both the graphics and the audio.

Mortal Kombat X Mobile Announced

There was a time where the concept of mobile based tie-ins was something that disgusted me. Actually, it would be fair to say there was a time when mobile gaming in general disgusted me. However, I have come around on the concept and there's a collection of games on my smartphone that I play daily.

For a while, one of those games was the Injustice Mobile game. It looked good and because I'm a fan of collecting, the card-based character collection appealed to me.

Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power Announced for 2015

Trine 2Trine 2 was probably one of the best looking platformers that released in the last decade or so. However, my love for that game is more than just "skin deep." I played the game for review along with two friends on PC and had an absolute blast. In terms of co-op platforming adventure, it stands out in my mind as one of the best do to the balance between the three characters; every character feels unique and has a purpose in the team.

Metal Gear Solid V Announcement on Wednesday

I used to be one of the biggest fans of the Metal Gear franchise of anyone that I know. I say used to because my love of the series has degraded ever since the end of Metal Gear Solid 4, which I believe should have been the end of the Solid franchise.

Metal Gear Solid 4 was, in my opinion, the perfect ending to a series that I have loved since I was a boy. Thusly, I've opted not to sully my experience by playing a fifth chapter of a franchise I believe ended, especially not in "paid demo" format.

Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 Confirmed

Inti Creates has confirmed via Twitter that Azure Striker Gunvolt 2, sequel to their 3DS eShop action-platformer hit, has been announced. The reveal comes to us from the Inti Creates FanFest event that I can only assume takes place in a convention centre built exactly like the Resistance Base from MegaMan Zero; elevators and ladders everywhere.

Radial Dialogue - Episode 3 - Canadian Price Increase, and GAME Millionaire's Club

Thanks to very one that joined us live this morning! As you can tell we are improving the show episode over episode. This time around we learned that we've been having the game audio WAY too long. I turned that down, you're welcome.

Episode 3 of Radial Dialogue features discussions about Fable Legends going the f2p route, and GAME's ridiculous special editions that are specifically made for millionaires. Full notes below!

Far Cry 4 DLC adds Yetis
-Will they be the Skyrim equivalent of Giants?
-Jen is still playing a bunch of FC4!

Behold! The Man-Child!

Dear God, I'm 30 years old. One week away from 31. My father was raising 4 kids by this age! Me? I'm raising freakin' Pokemon.

Is this a personality flaw of mine? I mean, a lot of my peers appear to be in similar situations, so maybe this could just be a generational thing. What could possibly have made such a big difference between last generation and this one? My guess: video games.
