For quite some time many have been awaiting another entry in the Jak & Daxter series. Fans were abuzzed when a registered title, "The Lost Frontier", leaked out but ultimately many knew it may be awhile before we saw the duo back since the series developer Naughty Dog was busy with the Uncharted franchise. Well fans won't have to wait much longer for the next entry in the Jak & Daxter series as Sony has announced via the PlayStation blog that the duo will be returning in "Jak & Daxter: The Lost Frontier" which will be hitting the PS2 and PSP this year. There'll definately be a few fans out there that are disappointed that the game isn't a PS3 or PSN game but at least we're getting something. And who knows, if this game does well perhaps we'll see J&D make an appearance on the PS3 in the not too distant future.
No other details are know except that High Impact Games (Secret Agent Clank) will be handling the development duties and the game finds the pair battling air pirates and trying to fix the world's eco shortage. We'll probably get out some additional info at E3 which is in the first week in June.
This is great for the fans who wanted this back.Never got into the games sadly.
i love jak and daxter, played all 3 games ( didnt like JakX)
but i am dissapointed, i do have a PS2, but i dont use it, but this still wont make me use it, oh godamn why ruin it!!! if this game was going to be PS3 exclusive then people would've forgotten whats the 360 anyways..
It is a shame that Naughty Dog isn't doing it themselves but maybe that is why it isn't going to be on the PS3 because they are working on it already? I will probably get it because the Jak & Daxter games are good.
ahhh i hope that the second picture is from the PSP cuz that looks horrible

I never really checked out this series before, but it's nice Sony is still launching some new content for PS2 owners.
