Gran Turismo PSP gets some pre-order goodies

Sony seems to be giving consumers the goods this year when it comes to pre-order specials with games like Uncharted 2 and Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time having some quite substantial and solid pre-order bonuses. The latest game to jump on the pre-order bonus bandwagon this year is the long awaited Gran Turismo PSP which has some stylish cars available for those who are ready to commit to a purchase now.

Folks who pre-order GT PSP will receive a voucher that will allow them to download 1 of the top class exotic cars in the game.  The five ultra stylish and extremely fast cars available to download include the 2009 Bugatti Veyron 16.4, the 2002 Enzo Ferrari, the 2008 GT by Citroen, the 2009 Nissan GT-R Spec V, and the 1974 Lamborghini Countach LP400.

I’m not a car enthusiast and don’t have a clue about cars aside from occasionally watching the show “Top Gear” but even my car noobness knows that those are some damn impressive cars. My personal favorite out of the bunch is the sleek and futuristic looking 2008 GT by Citroen concept car that looks like the tires are ready to flip “Back to the Future” hovercar style.

But it kind of sucks that folks who plan on getting Gran Turismo PSP digitally through the PlayStation Network will have to get these cars the old fashioned way by unlocking them. That may sound like a silly and somewhat petty thing to say but considering that there are over 800 cars in GT PSP then it’ll definitely take awhile to unlock my GT by Citroen goodness.

I remember reading at one of the auto shows earlier this year that the Citroen GT or concept car, Kazunori Yamauchi, the creator of Gran Turismo actually had has input or he was involved somehow in the car. The new GT-R is pimping and affordable, considering. As a huge sim racing fan, I'll be getting this bad boy.
