F.E.A.R. 3 gets a nightmare inducing Collector's Edition

To offset the news of its sudden delay, WB Games have revealed that F.E.A.R. 3 will receive a Collector’s Edition.  Having a Collector’s Edition pop up may not make up for the game getting delayed yet again, but the hardcore F.E.A.R. fans may dig what WB Games have devised since the CE is as creepy as the video game itself.

Aside from perks like a steel book case (I honestly want to know how many of these things are made a year), the F.E.A.R. 3 CE includes a comic book of the paper variety, a bonus in-game gun (presumably for the MP mode) and a special 7” inch figure. The figure isn’t one of the awesomely bearded Point Man or his spectral brother Paxton Fettel. Instead, we’re getting a figure of their mommy Alma. I must applaud the people at WB Games for having the balls to do a figure of a naked and extremely scary looking pregnant lady who just so happens to be caringly holding her bulbous belly.

The kicker with that Alma figure is that her belly and the fetus inside her glow in the dark. So we got a creepy figure of a naked pregnant lady with a glow in the dark belly. I think that tops the Aliens vs. Predator CE Facehugger bonus and the Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood jack-in-the-box any day. But where does one put their Alma figure once they have it? I kind of don’t see myself casually putting that in my shelf next to my Devil May Cry statues or below where I have my TRON: Legacy memorabilia. I guess the Alma figure pretty much encompasses the character; she’s scary as hell and sticks out like a sore thumb.

The F.E.A.R. 3 Collector’s Edition will be available in May when the game finally is released on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.  Right now the CE has only been listed for European markets but will likely come out in North America as well.
