F.E.A.R. 3 gets a live action trailer

I kind of miss the good old days when game announcements would come with a nice Press Release and a trailer. These days’ most game announcements are made in installments, often with certain sites getting “exclusive” screens or trailers.  That tactic is understandable since it builds the hype for a project. More importantly it means that fools such as me will cover these updates thus fulfilling my role of being a cog in a massive PR machine.

Today’s piece of the PR machine is courtesy of F.E.A.R. 3.  We already got the announcement of the game and surprisingly there’s a trailer already, more specifically a live action trailer. I know live action videos in games are sadly an endangered species these days. But like some other game that have used live action footage in some capacity, this F.E.A.R. 3. Vid is pretty rad. It may not reach the awesome of the multimillion dollar videos that LOGAN produced for MGS4 but it’s still an admirable effort.

So what can one gleam from this F.E.A.R. 3 video? Well Alma, that evil creepy chick, is giving birth and she probably needs some pain meds.  Point Man, our hero, could use a shave and kind of looks like Rad Spencer from Bionic Commando Rearmed minus the dreadlocks.  Evil dudes are obviously evil if they walk around with a red aura to them and can open doors via telekinesis.  And lastly given Alma’s intense pregnancy I just hope she has healthcare insurance since it could cost her a lot of money. But of course with the whole “I’m going to give birth and end the world” type thing I’m sure that isn’t an issue.
