In New Super Mario Bros Wii Nintendo has gone back to its early days. The days when 2D side scrolling games ruled. Unlike some developers today, Nintendo has shown that they still remember how to make the best side scrolling games.
New Super Mario Bros Wii is just as amazing as you would ever want a classic Mario game to be. Perfect for casual gamers, but at the same time it will present a great challenge to any hardcore gamer.
The biggest selling point of the game is however the new multi-player mode. Now Nintendo is obviously very proud of this new feature. In a number of their print advertisements they have presented this new feature as the best invention since man created the wheel and fire. As amazing as this new feature is it is still slacking behind because it is only a local multi-player and not online.
Therefore how much of an impact will this game have in today’s online video game world?

Online for this game would have been damn awesome. It's a nice HD take on the classic gameplay, it does look pretty slick...but...Nintendo really needs to put some different eggs in their basket. Mario's a classic but...how many years have we been dragging this out?
