Siliconera has found yet another Sony controller patent. This latest patent doesn’t seem to feature the motion tech since it doesn’t have the trademark sphere and it almost looks like it could be a new iteration for the Buzz controller.
But it could be possible that this new controller could be used with one motion controller for games that require more buttons. Though if that’s the case Sony really needs to add an analog stick and some shoulder buttons to the thing.
I’m just interested in how focused Sony seems to be on creating new controller designs with things like the original motion controller patent, the controller less motion patent, the laugh patent and now this thing. I’m not going to bother speculating further on what this thing could be since it’s kind of pointless since we could never see this released and the chances are high that this could be for something like Buzz.

in all honesty i dont really think sony needs a motion controller
agree with you on needing to add the buttons the motion stick park and putting just a trigger and analogue on this cucumber, lightsaber hilt looking thing. That is, if it is indeed for the motion games.
