Say It Ain't So - Kojima Leaving Konami

Things have apparently come to a head between Kojima Productions and Konami, and we might be seeing them implode for good.

An inside source reported earlier today that after Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, Kojima Productions will be breaking off from Konami for good.

The source cited power struggles that included restricting access to corporate resources such as internet, emails and phone, and switching senior staff at the studio from permanent employees to contract workers. Konami has already begun removing the Kojima Productions logo from anything associate with Metal Gear and Konami, which is a pretty ballsy move considering they've already offered a statement stating that "Konami Digital Entertainment, including Mr. Kojima, will continue to develop and support Metal Gear products." They are otherwise staying mum on the situation.

The source has stated that Kojima and co's upper management will leave after their contract ends in December.

I think you might be thinking what I am: so much for Silent Hills.
