Mad Max vs. Metal Gear Solid V on September 1st!

Today seems all about the head-to-head! Not only did Unity fire back at Unreal going free today, but it looks like both Mad Max and Metal Gear are looking to stake a claim on September the first!

Game Informer officially gave the release date of Mad Max today with the promotion for their April series covering, in depth, the upcoming Mad Max video game. Apparently the game will no longer see release on the "previous gen" consoles (Xbox 360 and Playstation 3). Instead the game will launch exclusively for the current generation platforms, Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.

Which would have been a perfectly fine announcement on its own, had the super sleuths at NeoGaf not found out (via IGN asset hunting) that the tease from Kojima/Konami about Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain information (scheduled for tomorrow) includes an interview with Kojima and the official announcement of the game's release date: September 1st.

So clearly, September is going to be a big month for gamers, but who will come out on top between the return of Mad Max and the continuation of the juggernaut Metal Gear Solid franchise?
