A possible teaser trailer leaked that shows the possible unveiling of Hitman 5 at this year's E3
I don't buy it but an announcement should be due soon if the game's release is to coincide with the film's. Cannot wait for this.
The movie was release in 2007 and I dont think there is a sequel. The date shown at the end is the first day of E3 so I think its more likely something about Hitman 5 will emerge there unless its leaked before then.
That's a big ass bullet

It's been heavily rumoured that a sequel to the 2007 film is in development (due out later this year) and that the game will follow closely to the the film's plot. It's certainly as credable as the trailer, if not more.

actually upon further snooping around there is a Hitman 2 movie being discussed but its still only on paper so it will not come out with the game at this moment.
That's a relief.
Either way, I hope we get a new game soon. I just hope it isn't based on any movie.
Agreed, the Hitman film was the worst tie in I've ever seen! It wasn't remotely true to the games - just another Hollywood action film.
I liked the movie, there are other movies that are much worse than Hitman, and i cant wait for Hitman 5 so hurry up!
The Hitman movie wasn't anything mind blowing, but it wasn't a train wreck either. I enjoyed it. Be sweet if a new Hitman is revealed this year!
Considering I just started to recover from the YLoD, I feel ready for E3. Two months away from madness.
Hitman Games always score a 9 or 10 (out of 10) with me.
The movie scored a 5. It was entertaining, but nothing I would go out of my way to see again. Timothy Olyphant played a good 47, but he was no David Bateson.
My biggest beef with the movie was that they broke so far away from 47's origin. The plot for the original game was magnificent, and would have made an excellent movie in and of its self. The studio just didn't give it a chance. The movie's plot was mediocre at best, with plot holes so big you could drive a freight train through them. To sum it up in a phrase, too many "creative liberties" were taken with the Hitman property while making this film.
If Eidos is really making a Hitman 5, I hope that they see that Hollywood got it wrong. I hope they keep on there own story development path, and I hope that although Olyphant was good, they dont make the mistake of redsigning the game character to look and sound like him.
I agree with you on how the plot of the film took too many liberties with the character and overall Hitman universe. Though I wouldn't worry too much about Eidos or IO Interactive redesigning the character to look and sound like Timothy Olyphant as he's not likely to return to the franchise, even with another movie under development.
From what I've heard Olyphant didn't exactly enjoy his time on the movie mainly because of the production issues it had. So with that being said and with him starring on the TV show Justified, which is awesome btw, I don't think he'll be shaving his head and donning the Agent 47 barcode any time soon.
