Congrats on the PS3 Sith!!!!! I have Valkyria Chronicles and it's technically a SRPG, but it's not move character on a grid x spaces. It's more fun than that. Each character class has a set amount bar to move around the map. It's free roaming 3rd person shooter at that point. Although you only have one action per use, ie attacking, rescueing fallen teammates, repair, heal, etc. You can you the same character multiple times but their movement bar is about 3/4 depleted from full, and 1/2 if you use it again, etc. The graphics are great, I think they call it "watercolor canvas". If you want more info about the game, let me know, I don't wanna write a book here if I don't have to 
Bottem line is, VC is one of my favorite games this generation, from all platforms, and the only other RPG I've liked this gen has been ME. Like Corey said there is demo on PSN if you wanna know how combat works.
On a side note, I have 420 posts, and part of me wants to stop posting and keeping it at 420 
cmon when you buy an extra X360 wireless controller it comes with cable. That's it I'm canceling my order! The PS3 is a money pit!! 
Im pretty sure new controllers come with cables too, plus what are you complaining about, you can use that cable for your cell, camera, anything more or less.....fuck i sometimes cant find my USB so i just open a drawer and bam theres like 2 in there, random ones.......
lol yea i had a psp before my ps3 bought the meidia manager for it and it came with a 6 inch one plus u dont really need to for 2 controllers because they dont die that fast unless you got someone over 24/7 useing that 2nd controller 1 wire is all it takes....even with the querty keypad i have that needs to be charged ive had it for a month still hasnt had to be charged lol
I know that PS1 games are downloadable to play on the PS3 but are there PS2 games available to download as well. If not was there any words of it eventually happening, If X360 allows you to download select old Xbox games then I dont see why Sony cant do it as well.

I think i know whats sony plan, they are just releasing all the great hits on the PS1, once they are done with that i think they will start doing the best games on ps2, ico,gow, who knows what...

Personally I've never found I needed a second cable. I have two controllers and just cycle them off, when one gets low I hook it up to charge and grab the fresh one. The controller batteries seem to have a very long charge life so I've never yet had a situation where both were dead simultaneously, although I guess if you had a multi day co-op session that could do it. Congrats on your purchase Sith!
Like Casey said, only one cable should be needed for two controllers. Buy two for two would be a waste of money. I mean, you could even use one for three even if you're using two, that's because they take less to be fully charged than what they take to be with one bar left.

Updates on PS3 also suck. So does installing games. Why can't I just download them ready to go like on 360?
I really like the controller for the PS3 in terms of size, weight and design though. My hands get sore playing on the 360. I'm not a fan of the analogue / d-pad positions. I wish they were switched.

yeah I just noticed that. First you have to download it to access and then just to go outside I have to download something else!?
I dont have to use the power switch in the back to turn on/off my PS3? I could just use the button on the front

nope. there's two ways to power off. hold the button on the front till it turns off, or better yet hold the PS button on the controler & select turn off system. by leaving the back switch on you can turn your ps3 on just by pressing the PS button once on any controler linked to that system.

Playstation HOME is the worst thing ever. I love my PS3. I like PS3 more then 360 in my situation, but HOME makes me angry it's so bad. It's like the aborted fetus love child of an orgy between the Sims, Second Life, the PSN, the Internet and an opening day line up for a block buster movie.

I just play with it for a while and the first thought I had was why do I feel stupid messing around with this. What is its purpose though? Is it suppose to be like second life or something.
Also does anyone know if the PS3 continues downloading stuff even if you turn off the machine like the X360. I was looking for it in the system menu but i guess its not there.

If you turn it off no, it will not download. The system must be on and you must be logged into your account to. You can download items in the background while the system is on.

As for the downloading you can set your PS3 to turn off once your downloading is finished. Just scroll all the way to the left on your XMB and click on turn off system and there should be an option to automatically turn off at downloading.
Yeah, avoid the hard drive-eating Home at all costs. Why not do some sneaking with Snake in the Middle East or blast fools in Helghan? I mean, that's what the PS3 was created for. Isn't it?

Thats a real head scratcher for me on what will be my first game. I added Uncharted and Infamous to my Gamefly queue and today I'm gonna sniff around Gamestop and Bestbuy to see what they got. Though Watchmen will be my first Blu-ray movie that I get today. Of course now I'm gonna have some issues with titles that will release down the road that will come out for both consoles and now I have to decide for which console I will get them for.
