Square Enix World Technology Director Drops Minor Updates On Agni's Philosophy and FF versus XIII

The Western branch of Square Enix has surprisingly done well this generation thanks to the likes of Avalanche Games (Just Cause), established properties such as Tomb Raider, and acquiring titles such as Sleeping Dogs. Sadly the same can’t be said of the core team at Square Enix Japan since development troubles and misguided projects have plagued the once mighty developer.

Killzone: Intercept (Indie Made Short Film) Debuts

A full-on Killzone movie may still be a ways off from happening, at least as of now, but we can get a taste of what such a thing would be like through Killzone: Intercept. An indie short film made by Brian Curtin, the same guy who did the incredible Beyond Black Mesa, Killzone: Intercept shows us a glimpse of the battle between the ISA and Helghast while instilling once again that war is always hell.

Wolfenstein Film Gains Momentum, Has Writer/Director Attached

Hollywood has toyed with the notion for over a decade, but now it seems that a film adaptation of the PC FPS title Wolfenstein will indeed happen.  A staple of the video game community since it was made famous by id Software in 1992, Wolfenstein has stayed relevant despite some lackluster installments, the last of which appeared in 2009.  After being kicked by several studios and creative figures, some creative talent have announced their plans to finally bring Wolfenstein to the big screen.

Halo: Forward Unto Dawn Comes To A Close In Episode 5

For the past four weeks we’ve been treated to something that has been totally surprising: a live-action representation of Halo that is actually good.  However loyal the legions of Halo fans may be there was no doubt some skepticism about the quality of the first live-action endeavor, even if series shepherd 343 Industries was over seeing everything.  Things may have started off a little slow, but Halo: Forward Unto Dawn has proven itself as an entertaining effort and that certainly rings true of the finale episode.

Need For Speed Movie Secures Leading Lady

Development on the live-action Need For Speed movie seems to be actually progressing instead of stalling and dying a slow death over the course of several years. After acquiring the talents of Emmy winner Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) to portray the lead in the movie, yet another casting decision has been made and this time it pertains to the all important role of the female lead i.e. the potential love interest and key eye candy for adolescent male viewers.

UK Gamers Receiving Metal Gear Rising Limited Edition

There is hope for Metal Gear fans after all as Konami has just revealed the European Limited Edition SKUs for Metal Gear Rising.  If you recall, last week Konami unveiled not just one but two exquisite CE’s for Rising which traded in tacky accessories for stylish things such as nice packaging and a rather kick-ass Raiden figure.  Thought had it that Konami wouldn’t bring either of those packages to Western markets, but today we stand corrected.

New Puppeteer Trailer Features Some Halloween Spirit

There aren’t too many games out currently in which we can play to fully soak up the Halloween spirit, save for the new Sleeping Dogs DLC, but Sony has put together a new trailer which properly evokes the festive day via their forthcoming title Puppeteer.

Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault Gets A Release Date + Price

After ten years of providing entertainment to gamers the Ratchet & Clank series doesn’t look to be slowing down anytime soon as evident by the latest entry, R&C: Full Frontal Assault. After being announced earlier this year, the newest R&C adventure has somewhat gone under the radar aside from a short closed multiplayer beta that went on earlier this year.  Even though the marketing and hype may not be in full blitz mode, the dynamic duo of Ratchet & Clank are once again poised to arrive on the PlayStation 3.
