Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast and Furious [Review]

Overall Feeling:

Fast & Furious is one of the biggest movie franchises out there, and now they are teaming with Forza Horizon 2, one of the best racing games, for an experience that is intended to suck you into the movies and Forza with a bite size offering completely for free. Yes, for free, AND you don't even need to own Forza Horizon 2 to enjoy it. While it may not feel like a true Fast & Furious experience, it's a great showcase of what Forza has to offer for those new to the series.

The Pros:

+It's FREE (until April 10th)
+Very easy 1000 achievements and only takes 2-3 hours.
+You get to drive some amazing high-end cars.
+Very smart way to promote Fast and Furious plus Forza Horizon 2 demo.
+Ludacris actually voices his character in the game as narrator.

The Cons:

-Aside from the supercars, it doesn't really feel like a Fast and Furious experience.
-Only one radio station.
-Limited selection of cars.

ShogunGamer.com Rating :
7

While Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious might be a mouthful (simply referred to as Fast & Furious from here on), it's an interesting take on DLC even though it's clearly promoting the upcoming movie (which looks great) that tries to do something different with an already proven franchise. First and foremost, this Fast & Furious DLC is completely free AND is a standalone offering, so you don't even need Forza Horizon 2 to enjoy it.

More Content Coming to Evolve - Not Just Skins

Are you already getting the hang out of the available hunters on Evolve since it dropped? Well, good news: it's time to try something new.
2K Games and Turtle Rock Studios have announced that on March 31, they're throwing down four brand-new hunter classes to play, as well as one new monster. The better news is that if you don't purchase it, you'll still be able to play with or against them online, so you won't be delegated to the dark corners of the Internet for people who don't buy DLC.

Forza Horizon 2 Adds Fast and Furious Theme Pack

Every once in a while the video game industry joins forces with a movie studio to produce something absolutely ridiculous which allows me to fulfill my movie-fantasies.

I’m a long-time fan of the Fast and Furious film franchise and, as most who regularly read the site are aware, a big fan of Forza. That’s why the news that came out today, the announcement of a Fast and Furious car pack for Horizon 2, is some of the best news I’m likely to get all day!

Capcom Announces DmC DLC Starring Vergil

Good old Capcom has gone and done gamers a solid but at the same time have also committed one of those moves which may make us raise an eyebrow or two. After revealing that Vergil, Dante’s twin brother, would be in Devil May Cry gamers of course wondered if the classic character would be playable, either in a co-op centric mission or in a separate mode within the game. Well, I have good news and bad news: Vergil is indeed playable in DmC but it’s via post-release DLC.

Sleeping Dogs Goes The Horror Route With Nightmare in Northpoint DLC [Video]

It may be a common theme now since past endeavors have proved successful as Sleeping Dogs is the latest game to release a Halloween/horror themed DLC add-on.  Rockstar Games got the ball rolling two years ago with the release of RDR: Undead Nightmare and then Sucker Punch released the massively successfully Infamous 2 add-on Festival of Blood.  Now Square Enix and United Front Games are stepping up to the plate with their own brand of horror in Sleeping Dogs: Nightmare in Northpoint.

A Cabin in the Woods Video Game Made By Valve Was Almost A Thing

Video games based upon movies usually result in experiences that are simply depressing, but what if we were to see a game based upon a film as part of DLC for an ever popular gaming franchise? Well such a thing was close to becoming a reality but sadly was canned at the last second due to the nagging issue of a studio going bankrupt.
