Killer Is Dead Trailer Features More Action and Giant Aliens

Today may be filled with news that can be considered a joke, not just because it’s poorly written, but because it’s April Fool's Day.  While some people may be partaking in the shenanigans, the folks over at Grasshopper Manufacture aren’t since they’ve released a brand new trailer for Killer is Dead.

Devoid of anything that is overly jokey, except for the fact that the Earth has purportedly been stolen and aliens are roaming around, it’s business as usual in this new Killer Is Dead trailer.

Darksiders Property Likely To Be Acquired By Crytek

THQ may be nothing more than missed potential and shattered dreams at this point, but there is still hope for the Darksiders franchise.  Even though Darksiders developer Vigil Games was dissolved due to not being acquired in the first wave of IP/asset sales held in January, none other than Crytek could come to the rescue once again to keep the post-apocalyptic demon/angel franchise alive.

Next Wave Of Projects From Minority Media Detailed

One of my favorite new developers in the games industry could be keeping themselves busy for quite some time based on some preliminary details that have just surfaced.

After starting off strong and wowing gamers, and the industry alike, with the release of Papo & Yo last year on the PlayStation Network, the team at Minority Media are hard at work on several new projects which once again maintain the mantra of originality the studio has become known for.

Battlefield 4 Debut Footage Shows Shooting, Explosions, and Forced Drama [Video]

As expected, EA went on to announce Battlefield 4 in a grand fashion last night to live up to the popularity the series has gained for the past decade or so.  The existence of a new Battlefield game isn’t too much of a shocker considering we’ve known about it since BF3 was released and it has been incessantly teased for the last week or so.

So other than not knowing how far DICE was aiming to push the visual bar and up the action, it was business as usual for the Battlefield franchise and that’s apparent in this rather dull gameplay footage.

Gameplay Footage Of The PSN Title Rain Finally Arrives

Sony has finally lifted the veil on one of the last few games bound for the PS3.  After surprising us last year at Gamescom, the new PSN bound SCE Japan produced adventure game Rain has finally surfaced again.  Still slated to arrive sometime this year, presumably before the PS4 is released, we now have a better look at Rain thanks to this new gameplay video.

Developer Behind The Unfinished Swan Tease Next Project

The developer behind one of the more unique games to come out last year is slowly getting the hype gears moving for their next title.  After wowing PS3 users with an abstract but addicting game in the form of The Unfinished Swan, the team at Giant Sparrow has revealed that they’re in the early stages of their follow-up title.

The somewhat hand-me down perception the Wii U has amongst certain gamers will likely continue with this latest tidbit of news. After being rumored due to vague retail listings, Square Enix has formally announced Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Director’s Cut for the Wii U.
