Disney Interactive announces Toy Story 3: The Video Game

With Toy Story 3 set for release this June Disney Interactive today announced Toy Story 3: The Video Game for PS3, Xbox 360 and practically every other console on the market.

Yeah I know this is almost a non-news story since a video game tie-in was bound to happen and since most movie games typically suck you’re probably wondering why I’m bothering to write about this.  Well even though I’m not a huge Toy Story fan I am rather interested in what the game is attempting with its open-world nature and the intriguing Toy Box mode.

Last week was THQ’s turn to boast about their financial earnings and today it was Electronic Arts’ turn.  Overall earnings for the company were ok (they only lost a measly $82 million) but most gamers could care less about things concerning percentages and millions of dollars earned/lost as most simply care about when the games are coming out.

Capcom announces the retro inspired Dark Void Zero

Capcom should really be applauded this gen for taking some massive chances. Sure, they still release the old stand-bys that will sell a ton of units like Devil May Cry, Street Fighter and the behemoth that is Monster Hunter. But while Capcom releases these established franchises they also aren’t afraid to launch new IPs such as the upcoming Dark Void.  While Dark Void is set for release next month on the PS3 and Xbox 360, the game is also coming to the Nintendo DS in a retro inspired experience that will transport players to the days of 2D side-scrolling shoot ‘em ups.

Ubisoft announces Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands (aka the movie tie-in game)

The upcoming Prince of Persia film starring the dreamy Jake Gyllenhaal wouldn’t be complete without some sort of movie tie-in game and it looks like we’re getting one straight aside from the rumored and extremely silly Lego Prince of Persia game.

In case you're interested here's a new Okamiden trailer

Like the previous trailers have shown we get a better look at the drawing mechanics in both combat and puzzle/navigation solving.  And if you didn’t realize already Okamiden is a beautiful looking game and this new trailer does an excellent job at showing that.
