Phoenix Wright Could Be Making The Leap To The Big Screen With A Famous Director At The Helm

I think every single gamer in the world, no matter what age they are, all know that most films based on video games aren’t good. The amount of reasons why a film based on Tomb Raider or even lesser known franchises such as Wing Commander falter is at times incomprehensible.  Unlike creating a film from the ground up and trying to tailor it for certain audiences, films based on video games already have a good chunk of the material written already and more importantly the filmmakers have a gauge on what the gaming audiences likes or dislikes.

Gotta Catch’em All: Wheeling and Dealing

It is one of the greatest challenges in the gaming world, to catch all 649 Pokemon ever released. I can say I have obtained under a third or 209.

Pokemon Global Link Up and Running

It has been a long time coming, but finally the Pokemon Global Link is operational. The online based add on to Pokemon Black and White is a welcomed change to the series.

Duke Nukem: Critical Mass Bellows Vintage

Deep Silver released today, the newest trailer for Duke Nukem: Critical Mass for Nintendo DS and Sony PSP.  The Earth Defense Force attempts to ensure the planet’s security have transported Duke into the future. However, just moments after Duke's departure, Proton, Duke’s original nemesis, launches a devastating attack on Earth.

As a disclaimer, this video may send you into a vintage vortex.

Dragon Ball Returns To The Nintendo DS In Ultimate Butoden

We’re never in short supply when it comes to games based on the Dragon Ball franchise.  The thing is that often we don’t get the good games, whether it was back in the day for the Gameboy or now with the new Dragon Ball arcade game or the recently released Dragon Ball Kai: Ultimate Butoden for the Nintendo DS.  Unless you’re a hardcore DB fan that follows everything DB related (and has a pair of DB pajamas) then you may not have known a single thing about Ultimate Butoden and I woul

Pokemon Black and White Will Feature New Online Modes

The newest addition to the Pokémon franchise will add new online features to the beloved games through the Pokémon Global Link Website which will launch this spring. This gives players the ability to sync gameplay from their Nintendo DS to their PC's via the internet and access customizable web-only content, befriend additional Pokémon, communicate with fellow Pokémon Trainers, earn and view Worldwide Battle Ratings, and more features will be revealed in the near future.

North American gamers get a nice bonus if they pre-order Okamiden

One would say that Okami is a cute game since it involves a very loveable and cute wolf roaming around a colorful world. But I think Capcom is really pushing the cute angle of the franchise with Okamiden for the Nintendo DS.  We don’t have a situation where Capcom is compromising the game by adding things that are overly cute, but instead Capcom is tugging at the hearts and wallets of gamers who can’t help but love cute and adorably plushy things.

An Assassin's Creed RTS game could be in the works [RUMOR]

We may be in full holiday mode right now, but much to my chagrin interesting news continues to pop up.  Today we have a somewhat deliciously silly piece of news concerning the future of the Assassin’s Creed franchise.  Ubisoft has gone on record by saying that they wish to make the AC franchise become a yearly thing akin to Madden or Call of Duty.  We also know that Assassin’s Creed 3 is definitely on the cards and so could another installment of the AC: Brotherhood series<

Sega finally treats Sonic with respect, pulls previous games from shelves

After a few years of unjust abuse, Sega is finally starting to treat the Sonic franchise right again.  Next week the first step of redefining Sonic will begin with the release of Sonic the Hedgehog 4 for the PSN and XBLA. Then next month we’re going to get Sonic Colors, a game that to me is going to be THE best Sonic game released in the past decade. Yes, it’s that damn good.
