Endless Skater Announced For XBLA/Win8

Skateboarding fans finally have another video game to do mass combo laced grinds in a project that doesn’t star the legendary Tony Hawk.  Sadly the Skate series is still out of commission as per the ever shifting plans of EA, but now Supervillain Studios has stepped up to the plate to release Endless Skater for Xbox Live Arcade via the Windows 8 platform.

Our dreams may finally be close to becoming a reality since a game based upon the Fast & Furious franchise is seemingly upon us.  Starting out as a mere street based racing film way back in 2001, the Fast & Furious franchise has gone on to become one of the premier action film franchises due to stories and scenes that are so dumb and insane that it’s hard not to find them appealing.  Now the ever chiseled visage of Vin Diesel may be appearing in a new Fast & Furious game from none other than Activision. Yup, good old Acti is at it once again.

Last week we saw one Hollywood titan exit the video game industry after an effort that was far from fruitful, and we have news of another unexpected development.  After Jerry Bruckheimer decided to shutter his games division after being in existence for five years, during which no games were ever released/created under the label, word has surfaced which points to Microsoft ending their partnership with acclaimed film director Gore Verbinski.

Small Update Given For New Tomb Raider Movie

Perhaps poised to go nowhere due to the politics of making a film and whether or not the game is truly a success, a minor update has been given concerning the new Tomb Raider movie.

After two live-action entries featuring Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft were released during the original heyday of the Tomb Raider franchise, production company GK Films announced their plans to do a new Tomb Raider movie to coincide with Square Enix’s video game reboot.
