First Screens Of The Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection + Fight Stick

Earlier today we received the joyous news that the Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection is in fact legit and is slated to appear this Summer on the PSN and XBLA.  The MK Arcade Kollection may not be in HD (more as to why later on) but it was still exciting that we would now have another chance to play the first three MK games, which despite their age are still fun as hell.

Antec Cases and the Rockus Sound System [PAX East 2011]

I have been mulling over quite a few computer build-plans as of late. A test server to work on some of my Microsoft certifications. I'd like to build a computer to setup with my home entertainment system and well, it's getting to be about time to build that new gaming rig.

New Images Of The Mortal Kombat Fight Stick From PDP

Every major fighting game needs its own swanky arcade stick and thankfully peripheral manufacturer PDP is here to provide us with some goodness for Mortal Kombat.  While MadCatz is dishing out a MK product for gamers, it’s almost half an item since you need to buy a $150 arcade stick on top of paying for the MK arcade board, which as a whole isn’t exactly the go-to option for most gamers.

No Marvel vs Capcom Fightstick For The Brits. That sucks! [Updated]

-UPDATED-

Mad Catz has revealed that the news that sparked was incorrect and that their Marvel vs. Capcom 3 FightStick is indeed coming out in the U.K.  Apparently GamingZap were talking out of their ass concerning the news that the Mad Catz FightingStick wouldn't be released in the land of fish & chips due to licensing issues.  So if you live in the U.K. and want to kick ass in MvC3 then you can pick-up the Mad Catz FightStick and have an awesome time of dishing out 55 hit combos.

Mad Catz Reveals Its Mortal Kombat Arcade Stick Panel

Earlier this weekend we got a small tease at what appeared to be a Mortal Kombat arcade stick from peripheral manufacturer Mad Catz.  The fact that Mad Catz was making a peripheral was definitely good news for MK fans as Mad Catz has provided a series of amazing arcade sticks for use in Street Fighter and Tekken. Well, yesterday at an event Mad Catz unveiled their Mortal Kombat arcade stick, except that it isn’t actually an arcade stick. Just hang in there for a minute and all will be revealed.

Mad Catz Teases New Mortal Kombat Arcade Stick

In a mere two months and a half months we’re going to receive a new entry in the Mortal Kombat franchise. At times the release of a new MK game would elicit groans from gamers as the series had a few ups and downs in the past which resulted in games that at times were merely meh.  But now NetherRealm Studios has gone back to the old-school MK to provide an experience that’s straight up fun and bloody.

Mad Catz Secures Xbox Headset License, and a New Limited-Run FightStick

Previously we’d posted about Mad Catz nabbing up some pretty big licences for the new year. Already the official peripheral license for the biggest rhythm-based game series out there, Rock Band, Mad Catz has been working triple time to secure bigger and bigger names. At CES they dropped the bomb that they’d be working on co-branded gear for the Nintendo 3DS. Gaming cases with the official 3DS licencing?

VR Used for PTSD Recovery at CES [CES 2011]

Not too long ago the Shogun Gamer staff was lucky enough to get another run at CES. While there were plenty of new toys to be shown, 3D and tablets taking up a majority of the floor, I’ve always made it a personal side-project to wander the floor on my own for a portion of the trip. The goal: find something that catches my eye on a personal level.

Mad Catz Announces Gears of War 3 License for Peripherals

If you’ve followed the site over the last year or so, you know that Mad Catz has won us over (a couple of times over) with their modern line-ups of peripherals. Where they were once a pariah in the home-console market, supplying a constant stream of cheap “knock-off controllers” they’ve gone to be the leader in the console world, supplying official materials on behalf of the first-parties like Harmonix; and in the new year Nintendo for the 3DS.
