Big Smile Reviews

Diifii @ The Eurogamer Expo 2011 [Video]

September in London has been an eventful month for me so far. Peculiarly it has been the sunniest month of the year so far, but that’s just the weird British weather that never fails to surprise. It has also been the month I joined an online dating site, and have been going on a new date every week now. But still one event has managed to top all of these events. Oh yes, the four day event in the very posh Earl's Court region: the Eurogamer Expo.

Diifii Attends The MCM Expo 2011

When he isn’t giving us in-depth reviews filled with energy, our very own Diifii is quite a fan of conventions, whether they be of the video game variety or just a hodgepodge of geek goodness.  After attending the expo last year, Diifii has returned once again to the MCM Expo this year to check out all the action the show has to offer.  While the MCM Expo may not be as big as some of the events Diifii has covered in the past such as the

Big Smile Reviews: Marvel vs. Capcom 3

Three on three fights, attacks that fill up the whole screen, plenty of booty and cleavage; oh yes this must be another new entry from Capcom's VS Series. Capcom has finally blessed the fighting community with Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds.

Big Smile Reviews: LittleBigPlanet 2

For some time now I was thinking of taking up a course in programming. Then I could finally create the perfect Sonic game. But that would take a few years of studying and a lot of money. So here is the other option, buy LittleBigPlanet 2 and start creating your very own games in a matter of days!! There are already millions of levels online, and every day more are being created. Its like every day there is new DLC and its always free.

New Journey trailer and screens are once again breathtaking

A title that hasn’t gotten enough hype yet is Journey, the latest PSN game from thatgamecompany, the acclaimed studio behind flow and Flower.  Journey got a somewhat stealth announcement during E3 but then some interest was raised late last year when some new screens were finally released.  But even viewing some beautiful imagery wasn’t enough for gamers as we all wanted to see the game in motion.

Big Smile Reviews: Mafia II

Mafia 2 was never on my purchase radar, I thought it will be another GTA clone. Luckily there was a demo available and I gave it a shot. As soon as the game started I was fascinated. The game's environment captures the U.S. 1950s culture so well that I just could not help but explore every bit of it.

Big Smile Reviews - Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit

I think it’s safe to say that Criterion knows how to do amazing car crashes. The way cars get mashed up in Criterion games is just beautiful. This is one of the reasons I was very excited for Hot Pursuit. Sometimes I just play to crash my super expensive sports cars into upcoming traffic.

Diifii wraps up his adventure at the Eurogamer Expo 2010 with one last video

I love video game conventions, one of the things that these conventions highlight very well is the massive diversity of the gaming community. The Eurogamer Expo this year achieved a lot in terms of bringing together passionate gamers and letting us do what we love to do best; play video games. The three days the expo lasted were perhaps the best three days of this year for me. Being a part of this massive community is amazing.

Diifii witnesses the clash of heroes that is Marvel vs. Capcom 3

There has never been any doubt that Marvel VS Capcom 3 is a massively popular series. So when Capcom blessed the Eurogamer Expo this year with two arcade systems featuring an early demo of the game, everybody was very pleased indeed. However fans of the series may have had a bit of a hard time finding their locations at the show mainly because of the massive crowds of people that have always been surrounding the arcade systems. Capcom could have put up a few posters and signs just to indicate the location of these arcades, but I guess they decided to be modest and keep a low profile.

Diifii visits the gamers nirvana that is the Eurogamer Expo 2010

The UK gamers have been watching the U.S. have a lot of fun at E3 and their other Game Developers Conferences, however this month for three full days UK gamers get to have a total blast at their own amazing video game show, put together by the Eurogamer website.
