Injustice 2 [Review]

Overall Feeling:

Injustice was something of a surprise hit that defined what a great fighting game had to do in terms of content and story. Injustice 2 takes all of that, improves on it subtly, then changes the game completely by providing a simply unrelatable amount of content to the single-player fighting experience.

The Pros:

+Vast character customization
+Deep dark story that continues from the original
+Seemingly endless rewards for continued play
+Stunning visuals and iconic character moments
+Great base play that will be ready for tournament play at EVO

The Cons:

-The amount of content could be considered overwhelming
-If you're not into a gear-grind, that could be frustrating considering how much there is

The original Injustice was a game that no one really expected much out of. After the lackluster response to Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, it seemed the concept of superhero fighting games under the banner of NetherRealms might simply be a novelty one-off.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt [Review]

Overall Feeling:

It's not without its minor issues, but you'll continually be impressed either by the writing, voice acting, setting, combat, or freedom that you'll forget the trivial issues and immerse yourself in one of the most captivating games to date. There's going to have to be something amazing to release this year to dethrone The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt from Game of the Year 2015 status in my opinion.

The Pros:

+Top notch writing and voice acting
+Visuals are absolutely stunning
+Side quests have meaning and are written incredibly well
+Hundreds of hours of gameplay
+Gwent is an amazing distraction and very addictive

The Cons:

-Movement can feel stiff and awkward
-Random smaller bugs
-Gwent isn't purchasable in physical for

The Witcher 2 was my Game of the Year for 2012, so to say that I had very high expectations for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, would be putting it mildly. I'm happy to report that not only have they lived up to expectations, but vastly succeeded them and improved on many facets from Geralt's previous outing. New hardware has released since the last time we played with Geralt, so needless to say, CD Projeckt Red has made great use from the new hardware and is pushing them to the limits on console.

New F.E.A.R. 3 Trailer Teaches; With Family You'll Never Face Fear Alone

Another creepy trailer has been released for the upcoming paranormal horror first-person shooter, F.E.A.R. 3 from Day 1 Studios.

The new trailer showcases the lovely family of Alma Wade and her two sons Point Man and Paxton Fettel and the horrific circumstances that binds them all. A rather spooky family ensemble tailor made to appear on an episode of the Jerry Springer Show.

F.E.A.R. 3 is shaping up quite nicely to give Dead Space 2 some serious competition for the scariest video game of 2011.

The Mediocrity Continues

Last night on Gametrailers TV two new trailers premiered for the upcoming game versions of G.I. Joe and Terminator Salvation. We all know that the majority of film based games are garbage and these two trailers really don't break that mold. Since the pictures for the G.I. Joe game were released we all knew it was going to be a joke but seeing it in motion is just a whole another level of "what were they thinking?"
