New Mortal Kombat: Legacy Season 2 Trailer Surfaces

If there’s one live-action video game project that has people excited, and for good reason, it has to be Mortal Kombat: Legacy Season 2. After proving that Mortal Kombat can still be relevant in the world of cinema, it’s almost time for the second season to kick off and thankfully we have a new teaser trailer to get us even more excited.

Pacific Rim To Receive Video Game Treatment

Deep inside us I think we all desire to see a good game based upon a film like Man of Steel or Iron Man 3, and thankfully one upcoming film which has the geek world buzzing is actually receiving the video game treatment.

If you saw the Pacific Rim trailer and thought “wow, that would be a kick-ass video game” then your wish has been granted as such a thing is in the works.  Announced today by Legendary Pictures, Pacific Rim will be adapted into a series of video games for both the consoles and PC.

THQ Assets Officially Up For Auction This Month

After the news broke on Friday that some would-be objections could stall the sale/salvaging of THQ, the matters have been discussed by the involved parties with one major result: THQ is officially dead.  It may sound like I’m stating the obvious, but today it was officially revealed that THQ will be up for auction on January 22nd and that all its assets (studios, IPs,) will be available to purchase.

Mortal Kombat: Legacy Season 2 Pics Show Kitana and Shang Tsung

It may not officially be Fatality Friday since there isn’t a new Mortal Kombat game or a well-polished trailer showing some brutal yet entertaining combat. Even then, the Fatality Friday moniker is rather fitting for today considering we have additional character glimpses for the upcoming second season of Mortal Kombat: Legacy.

Mortal Kombat: Legacy Season 2 May Not Or May Not Feature Jax [Rumor]

Consistency won’t be entirely found in season two of Mortal Kombat: Legacy when it comes to which actors are portraying our favorite combatants.  As you may recall, last week saw a wave of news come in concerning who wasn’t returning to reprise their role in the second season of MK: Legacy, the biggest of which was actor Matt Mullins not being asked to reprise the role of Johnny Cage

Mortal Kombat: Legacy Season 2 Official Cast Announcements/First Set Pic + Comprehensive Cast Roster [UPDATED]

We can finally put some rumors and our internal fears to rest seeing as how Warner Bros. have officially announced some of the talent that will be rounding out the cast for season 2 of Mortal Kombat: Legacy. As you may recall, last week saw a huge wave of info hit as the series began production, some of which included key cast members not returning while completely new faces joined the project. Now WB has announced some old faces will return to the world of Mortal Kombat once more alongside with some rather exciting new talent.

Mortal Kombat: Legacy Season 2 Comprehensive Cast Round-Up (New Details)

The last few days have been interesting for fans of the Mortal Kombat franchise, not because a new game has been announced but season two of MK: Legacy began production.  Started with little fanfair or hype  considering the reception the first season had, things were definitely off to an interesting, and slightly distressing, start due to the news of several actors not returning to the project.

Spy Hunter Film Gets Put On The Fast Track

Maybe Warner Bros. will set things right within the video game movie arena since the studio is seemingly prepping yet another high-profile film based upon a game.  Besides the forthcoming Mortal Kombat film, which will be separate from season two of Mortal Kombat: Legacy, WB is resurrecting the Spy Hunter series in a presumably epic action movie sort of way that may or may not star an overwhelmingly dull yet attractive actor as the lead.

Hawken Gets A Web Series Thanks To Warner Premiere

Perhaps setting a new precedent in the video game industry, Warner Premiere have announced that they’ve secured the rights to do a web series based on Hawken.  After gathering up buzz when it was revealed nearly a year and a half ago, the mech based action of Hawken has already gone on to receive a comic book series via Archaia, a loosely tie-in arcade pad, and now it’s receiving a top line web series via the same studio that gave us Mortal Kombat: Legacy. So is Hawken truly the next great thing or is it merely set up for mass amounts of trans-media disappointment?

Batman Could Be Poised For A Radical Video Game Departure

This week brings us the always glorious event that is the San Diego Comic Con. Filled with comic book goodness and our first look at major films that get our blood pumping and in some cases make our hearts flutter, the SDCC is simply an awesome event that over the years has grown to become more game centric.  While not becoming as major as other tradeshows such as E3 or even PAX Prime, the SDCC does bring its fair share of video game goodies, one of which may be the announcement of a new Batman game.
