TMNT: Out of the Shadows Trailer Shows Nice Action and Scary Looking Mikey

The paradox that is TMNT: Out of the Shadows has appeared once again, this time to show off what the game will offer.  Even though there was initially a level of excitement to see what Activision would do with their first TMNT game, such a sentiment quickly faded upon seeing the somewhat oddly devised, yet still intriguing, premise that Out of the Shadows is aiming to offer.

TMNT Game From Activision Is Revealed, Looks Overly Gritty

Confusion may be abound upon seeing the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game from Activision.

Activision Finally Announces New TMNT Games

After being leaked last year at a licensing expo, Activision have officially revealed their partnership with Nickelodeon to produce games based on The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  Currently going through a huge resurgence in popularity thanks to the new CG cartoon which airs on Nickelodeon, TMNT could be poised for the epic experience that the property deserves or will once again be sullied with a lackluster video game.

Production company chosen for live-action TMNT remake

This news may be disconcerting for some of the hardcore fans but I’m rather excited. It has been revealed that Michael Bay’s production company Platinum Dunes will be bringing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles back to life in a live-action film for Paramount and Nickelodeon.

Exclusive interview with the team behind the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles documentary

Back in September I came across something that pleasantly surprised me: a documentary was in the works for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  Being a child of the late 80s I was a huge TMNT fan having watched the cartoon, seen the movies (even the crap 3rd one) and I even dressed up as Raphael for Halloween one year.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have a new owner

I don't think we should worry about this but today Viacom has just bought the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle franchise from Mirage and 4Kids Entertainment.  In particular the Nickelodeon branch of Viacom is the new home for the Turtles.

Along with the already known about live-action reboot there's also plans for a CG cartoon to coincide with the release of the film in 2012.

TMNT is getting the documentary treatment

It’s safe to say that if you’re between the ages of 18-30 that you were part of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles craze at some point.  During the mid 80s and early 90s it was all about Turtle Power whether it was from the comic, cartoon or the various live action movies.  This year marks the 25th anniversary of the TMNT franchise and to commemorate it a fan is showing his love for the franchise by making a documentary.

Eyes-on impressions of TMNT: Turtles in Time HD and the TMNT 25th Anniversary tour bus

Last month the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles turned twenty-five years old. After starting out as a black & white comic book series aimed towards mature readers, the Turtles soon became a massive hit amongst youngsters in the late 80s with a popular cartoon and later a series of hit live-action movies. For some reason the TMNT franchise turning 25 makes me feel really old.
