Tetsuya Nomura

Square Enix And Tetsuya Nomura Working On "Secret" Project

Square Enix Designer/Director extraordinaire Tetsuya Nomura has come out of the posh yet slightly cavernous caves that are the SE Japan offices to do the usual: unintentionally tease gamers of things we may not see for at least two years.  For the past four years Tetsuya has somewhat pulled our chain concerning Final Fantasy vs. XIII, a game which we see only once a year – much like a groundhog exiting its hole.  I won’t go into a mass tirade about how the prolonged development and lack of details about FF vs.

Final Fantasy vs. XIII Still Exists And Here Are Some New Details For It

If you did a quick scan of all the games and news that came out of the Tokyo Game Show last week you may notice one major omission: Final Fantasy vs. XIII.  The game did not follow typical Square Enix fashion by appearing in a closed mega theater guarded by ninjas armed with Sephiroth swords to kill those who would record footage of a new trailer nor did the game appear in a behind closed doors capacity. Square Enix simply didn’t feel like the time was right to show the game thus we still don’t have any new media since we saw the game earlier this year in January.

Quarterly Final Fantasy Versus XIII Update Sounds Promising But Isn't Substantial

It’s once again that special and somewhat anticipated time in which Square Enix and Tetsuya Nomura decide to reveal some details on Final Fantasy Versus XIII.  I know that the Final Fantasy series hasn’t exactly been as stellar as it once was but you really can’t blame gamers for being pissed off since Square Enix has slightly mismanaged the franchise this generation.  Some of the sentiments concerning Final Fantasy Versus XIII may be steeped in how the game is somewhat of a joke seeing as how it’s only shown when Square Enix deems it to be the right time and of course there are l

Tetsuya Nomura gives us a cruel update on Kingdom Hearts 3

Amidst all the other game releases and industry hubbub, I totally forgot that the tenth anniversary of the Kingdom Hearts franchise is in 2012.  It didn’t seem like it was that long ago that I took a journey through the various worlds of Disney like Beauty and the Beast or Space Paranoids from TRON.  Since Kingdom Hearts 2 was released in 2006, gamers have been patientily awaiting the next release in the franchise.  Yes, Square Enix has released some Kingdom Hearts spin-off games for the Nintendo DS and PSP, but none have been given the KH3 moniker.

Tetsuya Nomura is bored. Decides to tease us via Twitter again.

Capcom’s Keiji Inafune thinks the Japanese development scene is in trouble. I personally believe that’s a load of bollocks as I think a far greater thing plagues the Japanese dev scene: Twitter. Since its inception various Japanese developers have hopped onboard the social network – some of whom actually share worth wild info.  But on the flipside of that you have folks like Hideo Kojima and Tetsuya Nomura who are probably the top 2 Twitter video game teases out there.

Tetsuya Nomura gives us an update on Final Fantasy versus XIII

Hey everyone, it’s time for our monthly Final Fantasy vs. XIII update from Square Enix mastermind Tetsuya Nomura.  FF vs. XIII is one of those titles where we’ve gotten next to nothing in the way of media/screens, but every now and then Tetsuya Nomura pops his head out to let a few tidbits out which always quenches our thirst for new info.

New info on Final Fantasy vs. XIII

Another major video game convention has passed and once again we’re left with no new media for Final Fantasy vs. XIII, the upcoming FF game from Tetsuya Nomura.  Even though the development of the game hasn’t become a joke of Duke Nukem Forever proportions, RPG gamers are getting a bit restless about the lack of concrete info and media for the game.  Thankfully Tetsuya has revealed a few morsels of info on the game along with an update on when we’ll see the game in action.

Square Enix Game DirectorTetsuya Nomura making a rare E3 appearance

The master of all things leather and zipper related is making an appearance at E3. I’m of course referring to Square Enix artist and mastermind Tetsuya Nomura.  It was revealed via Twitter that the creative genius behind the Kingdom Hearts series and the upcoming Final Fantasy vs. XIII would be making a rare E3 appearance.

Tetsuya Nomura comments on a Final Fantasy Dissida sequel

At this point Square Enix seems to be trying to take the No.1 spot from Hideo Kojima as the biggest industry tease. While Hideo gives us five countdowns for one game or cryptic messages, SE on the other hand almost tortures their fans with comments that hint a game possibly happening four years down the line.

Tetsuya Nomura gives us another update on the FFVII remake

It’s almost a running joke at this point but there are many people out there who are dying to see a Final Fantasy VII remake happen.  After Square Enix put FFVII fans in perpetual tease mode in 2005 with the FFVII PS3 tech demo, fans have been foaming at the mouth at the thought of playing what is considered to be the best RPG in glorious HD. Well for the final time that doesn’t look to be happening and the news is coming straight from the Square Enix mastermind Tetsuya Nomura.
