To further express our countries amazing video game developers, we here in Vancouver hold an annual Canadian Video Game Awards show. This show is filled with development superstars and high profile press/entertainment icons. The second annual CVGA's took place the eve before we kicked off the Canadian Games Conference. Here is the list of the winners and nominees followed by my romp through the Canadian Games Conference.

Splinter Cell: Conviction CE USB Contents Available for Download

The Splinter Cell: Conviction Collector’s Edition included a custom USB drive chock full of extras, but Ubisoft revealed shortly before game release that most of shipped USB drives were faulty. Ubisoft responded to this announcement by dropping the price of the Collector’s Edition by $10. Now Ubisoft has decided to make the contents of the USB drive available to download to all, for free. Free Splinter Cell: Conviction DLC Through Ubisoft and Uplay

Ubisoft announced today that they will be releasing free weekly DLC. Updates start this Thursday, April 15th, for Splinter Cell: Conviction.  Each week Ubisoft plans to release a different DLC pack for gamers to pick up.  Included will be offerings such as: new weapons, character skins, skills, and maps for Deniable Ops Mutliplayer.

First up this week will be the MP7A1 Machine Pistol. There has been no word from Ubisoft on how many weeks this free give away will last though. It also isn’t clear if there are plans for Ubisoft to start offering paid DLC as well.

Get early access to the Ghost Recon: Future Soldier beta via Splinter Cell: Conviction

In a move that’s pure synergy brilliance, Ubisoft is packing in a Ghost Recon: Future Soldier beta with Splinter Cell: Conviction.  As per GameStop’s listing for SC: Conviction, the beta looks to be available for those who reserve Conviction. So if you were planning to go to your local Best Buy to purchase the game you may want to head over to GameStop.

CES 2010: The Frag Dolls show us the latest playable demo for Splinter Cell Conviction

We stopped by the Microsoft booth at CES and got our hands on the latest playable demo of Splinter Cell Conviction. And as if that wasn't awesome enough, we also got a chance to chat with Brookelyn and Spectra from the Frag Dolls for our very own walk through!

Ubisoft announces delay for Splinter Cell, confirmation of a Driver reboot and a new Assassin's Creed game

The slightly gut punching delays keep on coming as Ubisoft have announced via their fiscal results that Splinter Cell: Conviction will not be released in February as planned and will instead drop in April.  A two month delay isn’t that bad but based on how good Sam Fisher’s latest outing looks a lot of folks desperately want to get their hands on the game as soon as possible

Yesterday we got our look at the Collector’s Edition for Splinter Cell: Conviction and its adorable Sam Fisher statue and now we have some details on the multiplayer mode for the game.
