QuarterSave: Interview with Nick Waanders, Slick Entertainment EP38

This week we have a special treat for all our QuarterSave listeners. As promised we have some interviews lined up, and this is the first of them. Nick Waanders of Slick Entertainment drops by the show to discuss their two-man studio, the industry, and plans for the future. In case any of you are not aware Slick Entertainment are the guys that ported N+ over to the Xbox Live Marketplace, and more recently built Scrap Metal from the ground up. An impressive feat for two people on its own, which is compacted by the fact that they built all their own tools as well.

QuarterSave: Reasons not to book with Travelocity EP36

Well, it’s been an interesting week to say the least. Unfortunately/fortunately in this week’s episode you’ll get/have to hear Corey and myself provide a bit of a rant about our experiences with Travelocity. With exactly 1 month left before we all head south of the boarder to the grand ol’ city of LA, we found out this week that Travelocity had neglected to book our hotel stay during one of the busiest weeks of the year in LA. Luckily we have resolved the issues and continue on our trek to E3 2010 where we will be reporting on the show for all of our listeners.

GDC Canada: Shogun's Wrap Up and Final Thoughts

As a fan of video games, technology, and the people behind both of them I have an obvious interest in the conferences that bring together the minds behind the tech that I love. Once I heard there was going to be a conference locking together all these interests in my own back yard, well I knew I had to make my way there. GDC Canada might not have had the flash of its bigger American brother, or the size of a show like CES, but size is not always the most important thing.
