SCEE Enlists The Services Of Veteran From Rare

Sony may have cannibalized their European studios last year with the closure of BigBig Studios (Pursuit Force) and the acclaimed Studio Liverpool, but the Euro branch of PlayStation isn’t being thrown to the wolves just yet. Besides Media Molecule and Studio Cambridge still playing a big part in the ever growing master plans of the PlayStation empire, Sony has enlisted the services of a former veteran from Rare Studios to help guide things.

Killzone: Mercenary Details + New Image Surface

So far 2013 looks a bit grim when it comes to compelling software for the PlayStation Vita.  This of course is a rather stark, and slightly depressing, contrast to this time last year when it looked as if the Vita would be nearly unstoppable; that’s of course until the device reached retail shelves with a lukewarm reaction and key games were nowhere to be found post launch.

Guacamelee Preview - Luchadorvania On Your Vita

One of our favourite PS Vita games demoed at PAX Prime last year, Canadian developer DrinkBox Studios' Guacamelee sets to bring a unique Lucha Libre-style, dimension-switching, metroidvania type game that supports cross-play functionality with the PS3. If you're not sure who DrinkBox Studios are, they're the same guys who developed the critically acclaimed Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack on the PS3 and PS Vita.

The Unique Action Of Divekick Arrives On PS3, PS Vita, and PC This Summer

Presented as a meta joke about the state of fighting games, the indie based effort Divekick is now receiving a proper release bound for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and PC.  After gaining steam last year due to a Kickstarter campaign, Divekick has been picked up by Chicago based studio Iron Galaxy Studios (Wreckateer, Darkstalkers: Resurrection) with a planned Summer 2013 release.

Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time Receives Price Cut + Demo Planned

It may be the start of the new year but we’re fast approaching that period in which half a dozen hotly anticipated titles are set for release within weeks of each other. Obviously such a thing will put gamers in a difficult dilemma as they figure out which title should receive their hard earned money and which one will be put off until it eventually reaches the bargain bin.  Thankfully Sony is doing us all a solid by slashing the price of Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, the much awaited PS3 debut of the Sly Cooper franchise.

Marvel Heroes Unite In Lego Marvel Super Heroes

After being denied a game based upon The Avengers due to THQ’s poor business practices, we may finally have the long awaited Marvel action video game romp we’ve been yearning for.  Now we shouldn’t get too ahead of ourselves as we aren’t receiving a massive action game based directly on the Marvel cinematic universe via Activision or even Ubisoft. Instead, we're going to receive Lego Marvel Super Heroes thanks to WB Games and TT Games.

Project Versus J Screens Show Gameplay and Character Art

Those wanting more details on the anime/manga mash-up that is Project Versus J may have to wait a little longer for such thing, but Namco Bandai have shared the first in-game images from the potentially amazing game.

Announced two weeks ago, Project Versus J has a premise that seems like it was dreamt of in a forum as it has various characters from notable Shonen Jump franchises beating the crap out of each other.  Basically, if you ever wanted to see Goku beat up a character from One Piece then your wish has been granted.

Project Versus J Could Be The Ultimate Anime/Manga Video Game

Mashing up franchises seems to be a hot thing these days given games such as Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, ACE: R, and most recently PS All-Stars, but now it’s time for the characters from the Shonen Jump world to collide in what will hopefully be perfect video game harmony.

Tecmo Koei Formally Reveals DOA5 Plus and Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus For PS Vita

The head of Team Ninja may have let the cat out of the bag this past weekend, but Tecmo Koei have “officially” announced the forthcoming PlayStation Vita arrival of the Dead or Alive franchise.  Presented in a package that will be familiar to DOA fans, Vita owners will be able to experience Dead or Alive 5 Plus, a rather straightforward port that is adding a few tricks into it’s existing repertoire.

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale DLC Is Revealed In These New Screens

PlayStation All-Stars is going to receive a nice amount of DLC in the future, or more specifically within the next two months.  We’ve already received word on the first characters set to go the DLC route as both Kat from Gravity Rush and Emmett from Starhawk will going the PS All-Stars cast, thus giving gamers more options.  On top of that goodness, a new stage is also in the works to coincide with the first character expansion that delivers not just one, but two visual delights.
