Sony's Wonderbook Device Receives A Magically Affordable Price + Release Date

It may not have had the best debut at Sony’s E3 2012 press conference, but the Wonderbook did have a near exceptional showing two months later at Gamescom.  The new PS3 peripheral may still not be for everyone, but after receiving a tease of Diggs Nightcrawler, learning that Disney is supporting the device, and seeing a glimpse of Walking With Dinosaurs from the BBC the Wonderbook didn’t seem like an absolute blunder as its E3 debut somewhat portrayed it as.

Sony's PlayStation Move Racing Wheel Looks Kind Of Cool But Kind Of Pointless [Video]

Sometimes it may seem like I’m too much of a Sony fanboy in how enthused or excited I may be about a game or a particular announcement. I’ll admit that I’m definitely a member of the PlayStation nation, but every now and then Sony does something that’s so silly that I can’t defend it since it’s that asinine. Sony may be keeping a good grip on their core software releases this year, but when I look upon things such as the new PlayStation Move racing peripheral I really can’t help but cry on the inside.

Capcom Announces Okami HD For The PS3

Capcom has done us a solid by giving us a HD re-release of a game many of us adore. Today it was announced that come this Fall Okami will appear on the PlayStation 3 in a HD remix which will see the game update with improved visuals, PlayStation Move support, and Trophies. Yay for being able to do celestial brush attacks with the PS Move!

Sony's Wonderbook Peripheral May Receive Support From A Major Company

It may not have had the best reveal at E3, but Sony’s new Wonderbook peripheral for the PS3 is indeed a thing that’s here to stay.  The thought of Sony skewing towards a younger demographic may seem a bit peculiar if not worrisome of what the future holds, but the Wonderbook could indeed open some new avenues in how people experience games and what their general perception of interactive entertainment is.

Sony Announces More PS Move Goodness With Sports Champions 2

There’s a lot of hubbub about what Sony will unveil at E3 next week to dazzle us and get us excited about owning a PS3 or a PS Vita. Next-gen PlayStation rumors haven’t intensified in the last weeks so it’s unlikely Sony will drop a PS4 bomb to officially steal the show from E3. Instead of next-gen goodness we’re likely to see Sony bring out a celebrity for an uncomfortable segment and an over-extended section dedicated to how “successful” the PlayStation Move has been.

Datura Preview + Interview [GDC 2012]

Seeing the way video games evolve always interests me as there are at least half a dozen factors developers can approach when devising a game.  Should the emotional route be taken or should a different gameplay formula be implemented that however unorthodox it may be is ultimately something that will not only service the premise of the game but provide a fresh experience to gamers?

Sorcery Hands-On [GDC 2012]

The PlayStation Move is in desperate need of a champion piece of software that will help elevate the peripheral past its current state of near gaming purgatory.  Every couple of months a game may appear which has potential to be the much sought after PlayStation Move champion but all have mostly failed or been outright mediocre.  For a long amount of time many thought Sorcery would become the killer app for the PlayStation Move but after the game was finally revealed last December the overall excitement level dwindled due to gameplay that was akin to a magic based shooting game.

Top Hand Rodeo Tour Trailer Proves That Entertainment Can Be Found Anywhere

At this point being a cowboy is something gamers are perfectly fine with since it can be freaking cool.  Whether it’s dishing out justice in Red Dead Redemption or unloading a six shooter into an evil-doer in Call of Juarez, cowboys is something the video game business needs more of.  As of now we may not be on the verge of cowboys becoming the next bald space marine in how they’re over-used, but there is room for expansion.  Well now we’re going to receive a new cowboy game albeit of the modern variety via Top Hand Rodeo Tour.

New Gladiator Style PlayStation Move Game Is In The Works

2012 could become the year of the PlayStation Move in showcasing how awesome the device can be or it’ll simply prove to be another nail in the coffin for Sony’s motion based peripheral.  After a rather stagnant 2011 as far as engaging or innovative Move experiences were provided, 2012 could be off to a better start with the impending release of Sorcery and the reveal of the PS3 exclusive Quadratum Mortis.

Sega Brings Us More Zombie Action With House of the Dead HD Updates

Sega is dropping a nice surprise on arcade enthusiasts and PS3 gamers as they’ve announced that both House of the Dead 3 & 4 are receiving a HD release on the PlayStation Network.  Sega has already given PS3 gamers some zombie action with the release of House of the Dead: Overkill Extended Cut last year, but now they’re going retro with some old-school House of the Dead mayhem.
