New Iron Man 2 trailer featuring more amazing Iron Man and War Machine action

It doesn’t seem like it but in two months the comic book action antics of Iron Man 2 will be out for all of us to see. Maybe it’s just me but there doesn’t seem to be an immense amount of hype or anticipation for the latest exploits of Tony Stark and friends. That’s not to say that people don’t think the movie will be good but it just boils down to everyone not seeing enough of the film since the media blitz hasn’t yet begun.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have a new owner

I don't think we should worry about this but today Viacom has just bought the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle franchise from Mirage and 4Kids Entertainment.  In particular the Nickelodeon branch of Viacom is the new home for the Turtles.

Along with the already known about live-action reboot there's also plans for a CG cartoon to coincide with the release of the film in 2012.

Michael Bay tells us when we can see his next attempt at ruining the Transformers

After giving us an ok action movie and following that up with probably one of the biggest pieces of trash to ever hit theaters with a massive budget Michael Bay and co. are ready to go at it again with Transformers 3.

"G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra": An entertaining summer movie that is pure fun

Overall Feeling:
"G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" is a complete blast despite the negative buzz it has gotten over the past few months. It's not a revolution in how movies should be made nor is it the best movie of the year but the film perfectly captures the essence of the G.I. Joe franchise. The movie knows it's silly and doesn't try to take itself seriously and that's certainly a good thing. It's a Saturday morning cartoon come to life and a damn good one.
The Pros:
Decent story that sets things up nicely; really enjoyable action; good performances from the cast. Stephen Sommers has redeemed himself as a director after the debacle that was "Van Helsing" as G.I. Joe has some well directed action scenes and an excellent pace that never once drags. Lastly the movie has ninjas, big explosion and women in leather. What more could you want?
The Cons:
Some of the special effects are a bit shoddy. The final look of Cobra Commander is a bit disappointing and it would've been nice if he was in the movie more. The changes made to Baroness may piss a few folks off.

I don’t think any film has had such a mixed reaction as G.I. Joe has received.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Overall Feeling:
Transformers 2 should be a kick ass movie but instead it's a mess due to a piss poor story that is filled to the brim with comedic moments that aren't funny and destroy the pace of the film. The improved fight scenes are nice but over time lose their impact which sucks since this is an action movie. If you didn't like the first movie you'll loathe the sequel and if you loved the first movie you may be a bit lukewarm towards TF2.
The Pros:
Nice special effects. The forest battle between Optimus, Megatron and Starscream is awesome. The scenes with just the Transformers are nice and have some nice voice acting. Sound design is awesome.
The Cons:
Crap story, bad acting, comedy that sucks, action that grows tiresome, one sided fights that make some battles boring, and a long runtime ( 2 1/2 hours) which will make you stab your eyes out. Oh, I forgot to mention that the movie also has the most stereotypical characters to ever appear in a film in the form of the Autobot twins.

When the live-action version of Transformers came out two years ago it was quite a surprise, not because the film was stellar but because it was a massive hit.

Star Trek boldy takes the audience to an entertaining experience

Overall Feeling:
Not only does Star Trek reinvigorate the series but it’s one of the best sci-fi films to be released in the past 10 years.
The Pros:
Amazing performances by the cast. Superb visuals and directing from J.J Abrams. The movie is actually an entertaining Star Trek movie and has a real sci-fi feel to it.
The Cons:
The villian is a bit weak. The story is nothing more than action which may disappoint some Trek fans out there.

Since premiering in the late 1960’s Gene Rodenberry’s Star Trek has always managed to stay relevant and popular.

Wheelman hits the big screen

Originally set to coincide with the release of the game, the film adaptation of Midway/Ubisoft's “Wheelman” is finally becoming a reality.
