Find Out Who's Playing Princess Kitana in Mortal Kombat: Rebirth

In less than a month our minds will probably be blown to absolute smithereens as Mortal Kombat: Rebirth is set to be released.  An exact release date for the live-action web series hasn’t been announced, it’s now supposed to drop before the new MK game is out, so for all we know the goodness could come sooner than expected.

New GameStop Commercial For Mortal Kombat Shows Off Scorpion's Alt Costume

We’ve already received an example of how a commercial shouldn’t be made and now we have an example of a commercial that does an excellent job in just about every category.  I may be marked as a corporate shill for posting this but if anything it’s the Mortal Kombat fanboy within me that warranted me posting the new GameStop commercial for the Mortal Kombat pre-order bonus.

The Power Of Raiden Is On Display Once More In This New Mortal Kombat Video

One thing that has always been clear is that in the world of Mortal Kombat the thunder god that is Raiden is an absolute badass. Sure, he may be a bit of a screw up every now and then concerning important things like the fate of the world, but for the most part he does a good enough job of protecting the Earth realm partly because he’s a powerful fighter. Now that the thunder god is officially a part of the newest Mortal Kombat game, a new gameplay video showcasing Raiden’s abilities has been unleashed upon us.

Latest Teaser Image From Mortal Kombat: Rebirth Shows Baraka

The Mortal Kombat web-series basically has my hype meter exceeding 9,000 at this point even if we’ve only seen a small handful of teaser screens and have a mostly unannounced cast.  I think we all fell in love with the vision that the Mortal Kombat: Rebirth pitch video showed us last year and we bravely put our fan expectations and hopes in Director Kevin Tancharoen in the hopes that he will deliver the MK project that most of us have been waiting well over fifteen years for.

Actors For Sub-Zero, Baraka and Shang Tsung In Mortal Kombat: Rebirth May Have Been Uncovered

Filming on the Mortal Kombat web series has wrapped, which is good since it’s slated to premier on April 19th, and as always we’re still in the dark concerning cast details.  Warner Brothers has made a few official cast announcements, but most of the cast details have come out through unofficial means like actors revealing things via Twitter.  The cast itself has maintained relatively mum on which actors are playing the MK characters, but thanks to the wonder that is IMDB, we may have a few cast updates for some key characters.

Raiden Lights Things Up In This New Mortal Kombat Video

Going into the new Mortal Kombat game I think a lot of gamers still had some reservations about the project despite all the advances that developer NetherRealm Studios was making.  Sure, the game was looking good visually, had some cool features and returning classic characters but would it play well?  The last few MK games have been a bit hit and miss in terms of having a fun and engaging combat engine, but as PlayStation Plus subscribers have found out this week, the new Mortal Kombat game is an absolute gem.

Mortal Kombat Achievements Reveal A Few Hidden Surprises

Mortal Kombat is coming out in just over a month, and one would think that we would know about the majority of content the game would offer.  Over the past few months we have received some cool reveals pertaining to the characters and core content the game has to offer, but there’s lots and lots of stuff that NetherRealm Studios is still keeping close to their chest.  Chances are we’ll still remain in the dark as to what goodies the new MK has to offer, but thanks to some secret Achievements/Trophies being unveiled, we now know a few of the surprises that will be offered to gamers

Good News For Fighting Fans: Mortal Kombat Is Getting A Demo

If you’re like me and can’t go to PAX East or don’t live on the West Coast and therefore can’t attend the first stop in the MK truck tour, then there’s no reason to go into rage mode as a demo of the new Mortal Kombat game will be available next week.  But there are two main catches: once again Xbox 360 owners are getting the shaft as the demo is a timed exclusive for the PS3 and even if you have a PS3 you’ll have to be a PlayStation Plus subscriber to get in on the bloody action that the newest MK game offers.

The Challenge Tower Mode Of Mortal Kombat Is Revealed

Much to the delight of fans it was confirmed that the latest Mortal Kombat game would include the Test Your… mini-games such as Test Your Strength and Test Your Sight. In addition to that, NetherRealm Studios also decided to add something else to the game: the Challenge Tower. Now we did get a basic description of what the Challenge Tower would offer as it was said that it would consist of missions in which gamers had to win matches under certain conditions, hence the name.

WB Games And NetherRealm Studios Takes Mortal Kombat On Tour

To fully reach maximum nostalgia peaks, WB Games and NetherRealm Studios have devised a method to promote Mortal Kombat that should be familiar to gamers who have been following the series since it first started.  Starting this Thursday, the Mortal Kombat Tour will begin as a truck adorned with art featuring Scorpion and Sub-Zero will make its way across America, thus allowing gamers to experience the brutality of the new MK game before its April 19th release.
