NetherRealm Studios

See The Retro Mortal Kombat Character Skins In Action

Earlier this week we got a tease that the classic character costumes for certain Mortal Kombat characters would be made available soon and now we have the full news on the matter.  After being exclusive to specific retailers, NetherRealm Studios will be offering the classic costumes for characters such as Sub-Zero, Scorpion and Jade on June 7th.

Classic Mortal Kombat Cosumes To Be Available For Everyone Very Soon

Leading up to the release of the new Mortal Kombat game a lot of gamers and fans of the series were unsure whether or not the game would deliver the goods.  All the media we saw leading up to the release of Mortal Kombat’s ninth iteration certain looked good, but the quality of the last few MK games wavered a bit so in some respects MK9 was far from a sure thing.

Newest Episode Of Mortal Kombat: Legacy Finally Gives Us Scorpion And Sub-Zero

Mortal Kombat: Legacy may be close to wrapping up, but the series is going to go out with a bang as the last three episodes are absolutely packed with the goodness fans have been looking forward to.  So far MK: Legacy has had its series of high and low points, the latter of which may be attributed to fans simply having their expectations set too high. But now on episode 7 of 9, we have our first episode featuring the backstory of both Scorpion and Sub-Zero.

New Mortal Kombat: Legacy Episode Features The Thunder God Raiden

Last week’s episode of Mortal Kombat: Legacy received a lot of mixed reactions.  Everyone liked the performances and martial arts abilities of leading ladies Sam Tjhia and Jolene Tran, but there was just something a bit lacking in the execution and story for the episode.  Gamers still enjoyed what the Kitana and Mileena centric episode had to offer, but it just did

First Screens Of The Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection + Fight Stick

Earlier today we received the joyous news that the Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection is in fact legit and is slated to appear this Summer on the PSN and XBLA.  The MK Arcade Kollection may not be in HD (more as to why later on) but it was still exciting that we would now have another chance to play the first three MK games, which despite their age are still fun as hell.

The Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection Is Finally Announced!

I was starting to think that we may have a project cancellation on our hands, but after hearing countless rumors and seeing retail listing pop up for the last six months, WB Games have finally announced the Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection.  Slated to appear on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live later this Summer, the MK Arcade Kollection will see the first three MK games re-released with new features for gamers to experience.

Newest Episode Of Mortal Kombat: Legacy Presents A Nice Mix Of Fantasy Action

The mixture of feelings towards Mortal Kombat: Legacy has been a bit polarizing with some people preferring a more fantasy based approach while others are hoping for a gritty retelling like we saw in the Mortal Kombat: Rebirth short film.  Well, this week brings us the fourth episode of Mortal Kombat: Legacy and by far this is the most fantasy based episode in the series, which depending on what you’re willing to accept is either a good or bad thing.

The Future Of Mortal Kombat DLC: Who Should Be Included Next?

We’ve been graced with something that rarely happens: a sequel that is totally amazing in almost every possible way.  I’m of course referring to the new installment of Mortal Kombat which offers some of the best fighting and most enjoyable fighting I’ve ever experienced in a game. One of the big reasons that the new Mortal Kombat game is such a hit in my eyes is because the game is packed with content like treasure trove that is the Krpyt, a fan pleasing Story Mode and bonus goodies like the addicting but sometimes brutal Challenge Tower.

It's Time To Get Caged In The Latest Episode Of Mortal Kombat: Legacy

After starting off somewhat slow but still being action packed, Mortal Kombat: Legacy has finally seemed to hit its complete stride with its latest episode which features none other than Johnny Cage.  The grandmaster of cheese in the MK universe is actually handled quite well in episode 3 of MK: Legacy as he’s still the cocky martial artist turned actor that we all know the character to be, but he’s fallen on hard times. Instead of being on top of his game, Johnny Cage’s quest for frame has left him down trodden and far from being the mega star he sought out to be.

Mortal Kombat Launch Party/Tournament [Vancouver]

Today signals the release of the 9th Mortal Kombat game, which hopes to be a reinvention of the series, while at the same bringing the series back to its roots by putting the weight of the title in behind what made the game originally popular back in the 90s: brutal hand-to-hand combat with lethal finishing moves and torrents of blood. To celebrate this momentous occasion, release parties were held around the globe, and luck for us at Shogun Gamer, one of them was in our own backyard.
