NBA Jam

NBA Jam could indeed be bound for the PS3/360

Arcade sports games seem to be a dying breed but thankfully EA seems intent on revitalizing the genre.  Earlier this year it was hinted that the upcoming NBA Jam revival for the Nintendo Wii would be appearing on the PS3/360. This news wasn’t based on a vague rumor or some sort of hint as it came directly from an EA employee’s resume.

Hearing the name NBA Jam probably brings back up a lot of memories for people. Playing as Michael Jordan and pulling off a 25ft flaming dunk is probably one of many highlights folks had playing the game. Thankfully those who want to go on a nostalgia trip are in luck as EA's relaunch of NBA Jam seems to offer what everyone wants.

EA's NBA Jam revival could be coming to the PS3 and 360

Earlier this year EA Sports made an announcement that surprised many for multiple reasons: the classic Midway arcade game NBA Jam was being revived.  While this news initially received the adulation of many since it’s been years since we’ve had a good arcade basketball game the downside was that NBA Jam 2010 was going to be for the Wii only.  As you can no doubt imagine the choice of platform made a good chunk of people so angry that they probably light on fire just like in the game.
