Namco Bandai

Take another look at the creative process of Enslaved [Video]

Today can be dubbed “Enslaved Friday” as I have two, yes two, new behind the scenes videos for Enslaved: Odyssey to the West.  Earlier this week we received episode 1 of the bts featurette which showed the creative process that went into the story and acting of game.  Today, Namco Bandai (NamBam ftw) has released two features that should be informative to those who like to play apocalyptic games with killer robots.

Pac-Man Championship Edition DX could soon be upon us

When it comes to beloved video game characters, there’s none greater than Pac-Man.  Much is owed to Pac-Man as the character single-handily carried the video game industry in the early 1980s along with bringing it to the mainstream. Even today, over 25 years since his inception, Pac-Man still carries a lot of weight in the video game community, which is clearly shown in the anticipation for Pac-Man: Championship Edition DX.

Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 Goes Gold, Drops New Videos

Ultimate Ninja Storm is one of those defining titles; it puts me into a category of ‘nerd’ that I probably wouldn’t have volunteered for before getting addicted to the multiplayer in the original title. Now it seems every time there’s a little bit of new news or video for the game I jump all over it like a tried and true otaku.

Today brought the announcement from Bamco that game with the ever increasing title length, Shonen Jump’s Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 2, has finally gone gold!

Go behind the scenes in this new video for Enslaved

By now some of you may have experienced Namco Bandai’s new action-adventure game Enslaved thanks to the demo that’s on the PSN.  The Enslaved demo was pretty easy to get into, but it did leave a lot of questions unanswered, mainly “what the hell is going on?”  Well some of those questions will remain unanswered until the game hits retail, but this new Behind the Scenes video for the game does a decent job of setting up the core premise and inspiration for Ninja Theory’s post-apocalyptic action game.

Knights Contract has an incredible new trailer

With massive reveals like Devil May Cry and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 taking the spotlight at TGS, there were a few games that in a way went under the radar amongst the press and general attendees.  Maybe it’s the Western style or that fact that it has witches and magic, but Knights Contract from Namco Bandai looks like it’s shaping up nicely so far.

Namco Bandai announces a new Tekken game

I don’t know what spurred this, but now is an absolutely blissful time to be a fan of fighting games.  With stuff like Super Street Fighter IV, Mortal Kombat 9, and the double whammy of Street Fighter vs. Tekken and Tekken vs.

Ninja Theory set to announce new game at TGS 2010

Continuing the standard pre-TGS 2010 crazy news cycle is this gem of news: developer Ninja Theory (Heavenly Sword) will announce their upcoming project at TGS. Now those who have been following recent rumors have probably perked up in their seats reading this news as we may get confirmation on a longstanding rumor.

New developer video gives insight on Ace Combat Assault Horizon

Usually an announcement of a new Ace Combat game would garner a nice amount of hype from the dedicated fan base of the franchise.  But when the debut trailer for Ace Combat Assault Horizon was released, the hype was larger than usual since the series is undergoing a rebirth of sorts.

At the joy of Gundam fans across the globe Tecmo Koei is releasing yet another Gundam Musou game. Yesterday we got the first few tidbits on the project one of which was that the game was adopting a cell-shaded art style.  With various incarnations of Gundam represented in the game, fans were keen to see how such a change in visuals would impact the game.  Well it’s time for everyone to put their on otaku critic hat as the first images of Gundam Musou 3 have been released.

Dynasty Warriors Gundam returns yet again

Who would’ve thought that combining Gundam and the gameplay of Dynasty Warriors would’ve worked but it did, at least in some small form.  Famitsu has revealed that Namco Bandai is prepping another sequel to the successful Gundam Musuo aka Dynasty Warriors Gundam.
