Mega Man

Mega Man Legends is coming to PSN!

Mega Man fans rejoice! Mega Man Legends is set to be released next week on PlayStation Network. The title will be available for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

For players unfamiliar with Legends, Mega Man Legends was the first 3D spin-off of the Mega Man series.

For the last two years, Capcom has steadily released Mega Man PSOne classics on the PSN. A brief timeline:

Before Mario Maker

Mario Maker is fast approaching and I can feel the need to create swelling in the collective unconscious. The glorious content machine will roll out level after level and we will never go hungry again as we consume every perfect morsel.

Until that day of reckoning is upon us, here's a few under-appreciate and/or lesser-known level editors that have been helping players thirsty for more flex their creative muscles for the last couple decades.

The Mega Marathon Round 2 This Weekend

This weekend Shogun Gamer will, once again, be sponsoring the Mega Marathon – A 48-hour marathon of 18 Mega Man games with all proceeds going to Child’s Play Charities. Our own Casey White, Managing Editor, will be one of the three hosts attempting the feat; along with resident Mega Man Expert Kyle Hill and local Actor/Comedian/Event host/Awesome dude Tyler James Nicol

Capcom Slightly Trolls Us With New Street Fighter X Tekken Roster Additions

Fighting games aren’t exactly my forte, or at least fighting games that are devoid of color-coded ninjas and an abundance of over-the-top violence.  Casey White is Shogun Gamer’s fighting game master but I felt a bit compelled to do a quick snippet on the latest reveal for Street Fighter X Tekken.  Now I’ve somewhat followed SF X Tekken since it was first announced but I haven’t been looking forward to it as much as the still to be revealed Tekken x Street Fighter, which I think could be amazing if everything comes together.

The Mega Marathon: Year One

For those of you that didn’t happen to catch the shout-outs on Facebook and Twitter over the last week, Shogun Gamer helped to throw on a Charity Drive on behalf of Child’s Play Charity this weekend. It was called “The Mega Marathon” and featured an attempt at completing 18 Mega Man titles (spanning the entirety of the Mega Man and Mega Man X series) in the hopes of raising $10,000.00 to put towards the charity.

Get Equipped with Mega Man Hoodie

I love hoodies. I love everything about them, and for some reason they make the perfect nerd medium for all kind of cool designs. There have been tons of adaptions for things like Star Wars, and other films. Now it seems like video games are finally getting their share of the hooded spot-light.

Here Are Your 8 Robot Masters for Mega Man 10

If you’ve been poking around the internet over the last couple of weeks you may have been compiling a list of the Robot Masters. Alternatively, you may have come across the scans posted online from the Japanese video game magazine CoroCoro that showed artwork for the 8 boss battles coming your way.

First video of Mega Man 10 Gameplay

Many of you out there like me may have found a love/hate relationship with the latest incarnation of the Mega Man series, Mega Man 9 (Wii, PS3, X360). It was a classic throw back to the routes of the game, done in the retro 8-bit style. The game was glorious in its nostalgia factor, but reminded me how doughy my video game skills have gotten since the days of the NES. So for those of you that are like me, and enjoy getting mad at an 8-bit classic and bought Mega Man 9, Capcom has been kind enough to unleash all new horrors onto the gaming world with the announcement of Mega Man 10.

Grin was possibly working on a Mega Man game

It looks like shuttered developer Grin was working on another popular Japanese franchise besides the Final Fantasy XII spin-off Fortress.  On the LinkedIn profile of a former Grin employee a game titled “Blue Steel” is listed. Now this isn’t a Zoolander game for the PlayStation Eye or Natal in which players give their best fashion look but instead Blue Steel could’ve been a Mega Man game.
