It doesn’t seem like it but in two months the comic book action antics of Iron Man 2 will be out for all of us to see. Maybe it’s just me but there doesn’t seem to be an immense amount of hype or anticipation for the latest exploits of Tony Stark and friends. That’s not to say that people don’t think the movie will be good but it just boils down to everyone not seeing enough of the film since the media blitz hasn’t yet begun.

When it was announced that Disney would be purchasing comic book giant Marvel Entertainment both comic book and video game fans were in disarray.  Comic fans were worried that their comics would soon lose some of their edge under the “direction” of Disney and video game fans just didn’t know what the hell to expect.  But after the deal between Disney and Marvel went through everyone was reassured that nothing would change and Disney said they would honor all the existing contracts Marvel had with video game and movie companies.  Well despite what was initially said it looks l

Last week we got our first piece of info on Spider-Man 4 in the form of a casting update for the potential villains. Aside from the rumor that the character of Felicia Hardy aka The Black Cat, rumored to be played by Ann Hathaway, would be turned into a new villain called the Vulturess the majority of people were happy to hear that John Malkovich would be possibly portraying the Vulture. Well it seems like everyone was happy about aside from Sony Pictures.

Today we witnessed perhaps the most unpredictable corporate acquisition and pairing that we will ever see for some time. In case you’re unaware to the shockwaves that have been going through the world of comic books and general geekdom it was announced that Disney, known for cute musicals and family friendly films, would be purchasing Marvel Entertainment for $4 billion. I almost feel like an evil music cue or maniacal Dr. Doom laugh should play after someone says that price.

At this point all of the main Marvel characters have gotten a big screen adaptations; even a low key character like Blade got the film treatment with a trilogy of films and a horrendous TV series. Some fans think there are a few characters that should get the attention other Marvel characters have gotten and if you’re a fan of the Black Panther then things are looking quite good.

One of the most popular fighting games to have been released in the past 10 years was the Marvel vs. Capcom series. The unlikely pairing of the Marvel and Capcom characters worked perfectly and gave players an extremely enjoyable and technical fighting game. It has certainly been a long wait but now fans will be getting a follow-up to Marvel vs. Capcom in the form of Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes for the PSN and Xbox Live Arcade.
