Teaser trailer for Thor: The Video Game

Last week Sega officially announced the video game version of the upcoming Marvel film Thor. Despite the history of the character and the rising hype for the film, the news was met with a rather lukewarm reception. The less than stellar reaction wasn’t too surprising considering Sega + Marvel Comics + movie games = Iron Man 2: The Video Game. Nuff, said if you ask me.

Disney and Marvel team up for TRON comic book

Last week was amazing if you’re a fan of TRON since the San Diego Comic Con served as the source of an overflowing amount of goodness.  Not only was there a panel with the TRON: Legacy cast, but a new 8 minute clip was shown along with a new theatrical trailer that was simply awe-inspiring.  Now the TRON hype machine continues to blaze down the Game Grid with the announcement of TRON: The Betrayal from Marvel Comics.

Marvel vs. Capcom 3 looks to be happening

Last week a rumor surfaced that Capcom would announce Marvel vs. Capcom 3 in the near future. While from a reliable source, many still called into question whether or not this would happen. With the Marvel franchise thought to be tied up in a web of legal issues due to Disney’s acquisition, MvC3 was thought to be a pipe dream of sorts.

[Video] Spider-Man goes all noir on us in Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions

In the wake of the amazing Batman: Arkham Asylum many wondered what Activision’s Spider-Man franchise would do next. For the past few years everyone’s favorite neighborhood Spider-Man hasn’t exactly had good luck when it comes to games.  Spidey’s last outing, Spider-Man: Web of Shadows was rather horrific due to awful voice acting, run-of-the-mill gameplay and headshaking QTEs.  Now Activision has released the premier trailer for Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, a game which is slightly intriguing at this point.

The Punisher: No Mercy will leave gamers begging for mercy over how bad it is

Overall Feeling:
The Punisher: No Mercy is a game everyone should avoid at all costs, even if you're a hardcore Punisher fan.
The Pros:
Uh.... you can delete the game from your hdd. It's a good example of how not to make a game good.
The Cons:
Poor controls; incoherent story mode; weak online; weak weapons and special abilities; visuals are shoddy.
ShogunGamer.com Rating :
2

Why can’t The Punisher catch a break? The character is a fan favorite when it comes to the comics as the books have the perfect mix between satire, social commentary, dark humor and of course ultra violence. All of those things make the perfect mix for a movie and video game yet The Punisher keeps on having film and game adaptations that are crap. The first Punisher movie was just ok as Thomas Jane turned in a good performance but the film was just lacking that Punisher vibe.
