Mafia 2

In a somewhat unexpected partnership, 2K Games today announced that the world of Mafia II will have a small dose of vintage goodness thanks to Playboy magazine.  Not only will those who play Mafia II be able to live the life of a rising mobster but they’ll also be able to collect virtual versions of the iconic Playboy magazine.

It’s been too long since we’ve seen anything from 2K’s upcoming Mafia 2. The extended gameplay footage that leaked last year was nice but it was just too much of a tease of the amazing things to come which as of late keep getting delayed.

When it was announced that Mafia 2 was being delayed from this year to early next year I was just gutted. The sequel showed incredible promise and if I dare say it looked miles ahead of GTA4 in terms of mechanics and immersion. But delaying the game was for the best since hopefully it’ll give it more room to shine since Mafia 2 could easily be a contender for Game of the Year next year.
