Kojima Productions Teaser Revealed, Prepare For Disappointment

The Kojima Productions teaser released last week has been revealed and once again we have a situation in which Kojima has slightly trolled us.  Today’s reveal by Kojima Productions sadly has nothing to do with Metal Gear Solid: Rising and it appears we’ll have to wait for details on that game until later in the month or simply next month when the new trailer premieres at the Spike Video Game Awards.

First Crop Of Games Premiering At The Spike Video Game Awards 2011 Are Revealed

It’s close to that special time of year in which we get a few surprises that we weren’t expecting at all. No, I’m not talking about receiving a holiday specific present but instead receiving our first look at brand new video games and eagerly anticipated sequels thanks to the Spike Video Game Awards.  A tradition in the video game biz for the last few years, the Spike VGAs can always be assured to give us a few key things: horrible “comedy”, world premier trailers, and an almost unnecessary amount of dudebro content which may or may not include women prancing around in bikinis.

Kojima Is Up To His Old Tricks, New Teaser Posted That Could Lead To Metal Gear Rising Reveal

Hideo Kojima at times can be a man of few words who merely lets his game or in some cases elaborate teases do all the talking.  Things have been rather quiet on the Kojima front for some time and there even doesn’t seem to be an outstanding amount of hype for the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection – which if you didn’t recall comes out next week in North America.

Silent Hill: Downpour Gets Bumped To 2012

Gamers will have one less title to pick up this Fall as Konami have officially delayed the release of Silent Hill: Downpour. The latest entry in the Silent Hill series, which is a quasi-reboot, was set to appear on the PS3 and Xbox 360 this Fall (a November release was likely) but has since been bumped to Q2 2012 which would see it appear in the Spring/Summer period.

Some Exclusive Xbox 360 Items Are Dished Out In The MGS HD Collection

Metal Gear Solid and Microsoft have never had an extremely good relationship compared to the relationship Sony has with Konami/Kojima Productions but that may be slowly changing. Aside from Konami warming up to Microsoft slowly through things such as debuting titles such as MGS: Rising at Microsoft events, Kojima Productions is finally giving Xbox 360 gamers some exclusive MGS goodness.  The only catch being is that said goodness comes in the form of Xbox 360 Avatar items.

The Transforming Combat Of Bloody Roar Is Making A Comeback [Update]

The fighting game resurgence is continuing in a huge way as an old favorite may be poised for a return.  With the likes of Marvel vs. Capcom, Mortal Kombat and Virtua Fighter making triumphant returns to the fighting game arena, none other than Bloody Roar could be joining the fray.  A staple of the PS1 generation, Bloody Roar was rather unique for its time as it allowed gamers to unleash their animalistic side and have their human character transform into a beast.

Konami Caters To MGS Fans, Announces Limited Edition Version Of MGS HD Collection

Knowing the dedication of their fanbase, Konami has announced that they will be releasing a Limited Edition version of the forthcoming Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.  The Limited Edition version of MGS’s HD makeover won’t include any additional games beyond those included on the disc (MGS2, MGS3, MGS: Peace Walker) but it will include two things gamers find hard to pass up: exclusive box art and a special art book.

Sony Offers Up Some Major Updates On The PlayStation Vita (Launch Games, New Titles, Battery Life)

Since TGS is kicking off this week Sony decided to have a little shindig before the event officially starts to announce a few very important details about the PlayStation Vita.  Sony may have already dropped the megaton bomb of how much the Vita would cost internationally at E3 this year, but other prime details like battery life, launch titles and 3rd party support were said to be revealed at a later date – which as it turns out was Sony’s TGS 2011 conference.  With gamers having a lot of hype for the Vita given the sudden downturn of the Nintendo 3DS (what the hell is up with th

Zone of the Enders Returns To The Merch Arena Once More Thanks To Kotobukiya

We have yet another cool development on the video game memorabilia front as Kotobukiya are spinning their magic once more but this time it’s for Zone of the Enders.  Gamers who either have deep pockets or love to be poor yet have nice things should be familiar with Kotobukiya as they’ve produced a series of amazing video game statues in the past for properties Batman: Arkham City, Tekken and Shadow of the Colossus, the latter of which I owned a statue of before it be

Hideo Kojima Releases Some Fresh Screens Of MGS2 - HD Edition

Today we have a reveal from Hideo Kojima that we can fully appreciate without any sort of hidden subtext thrown in: new screens of Metal Gear Solid 2 – HD Edition.  Last week was a good time to be a MGS fan since we received our first screens of MGS2 & MGS3 along with new screens showing off the HD upgrade given to MGS: Peace Walker.  But the real cherry on top of everything was the walkthrough video
