I Am Alive

TL;DR - Feb 27 - Hawken, I Am Alive, PSN Gamers' Choice

Today in TL;DR I’m going to hit up a couple more stories that happened to catch my eye throughout the day. First up: Hawken has managed to get 10 million dollars for their multiplayer mech game. Second, the team behind I Am Alive provides a video diary showing a bit about how every decision you make matters. Finally, the PSN Gamers’ Choice Award Nominations are out!

I Am Alive Hands-on [CES 2012]

The second stop on my through of the XBLA House Party circuit was a look at I Am Alive. Having seen nothing of the game, apart from a cinematic trailer, all I knew going into the game was that the setting was of a post-apocalyptic world in which you were one of the last remaining humans and the key to the game was survival.

Speaking Ubisoft PR rep Alex Monney, the concept of the game was expanded upon, drastically, before I had a chance to jump in and try out the first 20 minutes of the game.

Ubisoft Finally Reveals A Release Window For I Am Alive + A New Trailer

In a slightly uneventful announcement, Ubisoft has confirmed that their apocalyptic action-survival game I Am Alive will finally see release this Winter on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade.

I Am Alive Is Indeed Still Alive And Could Be Bound For Retail Soon

Ubisoft’s oft delayed I Am Alive could be awakening from its slumber as the ESRB have officially rated the game.  Last shown to the public nearly three years ago, Ubisoft hasn’t said much of anything concerning the direction and ultimate premise of I Am Alive and instead the only morsels of info we’ve received on the project have come in the form of a series of videos leaked last month.

I Am Alive Video And Screens Leaked, Status Of The Game Is Still Questionable

This week started off with some interesting reveals of previously unseen or cancelled things and now we’ve gotten something extremely special to wrap things up: our first footage of Ubisoft’s oft-delayed I Am Alive.

Remaining 2011 Releases: The Anticipation

Looking back at 2011, it feels to me that it's been a rather flat year so far for releases. The hugest news for the year was supposed to be Duke Nukem Forever, and we all saw the fizzle of that release. There were certainly good titles released this year, but it seemed a lot like the waiting times between them were vast. For me personally, anticipated releases saw an average three-month waiting period which is an incredibly long time when you're waiting for the next one to come out.

An Update On The Last Rumor Concerning Ubisoft's I Am Alive (No, it's not a release date)

I guess we either got punked big time or the PR gears have simply churned to possibly control the damaging news.

Ubisoft's I Am Alive Is Still Surviving, Bound For Release This Year

Does anyone remember I Am Alive at this point? I think the wide answer to that question will be no and only core gaming enthusiasts (folks with too much time on their hands, no life or a brain that absorbs vast nuggets of info such as myself) will remember Ubisoft’s survival adventure game.  Announced at E3 2008, I Am Alive made quite a splash at the show since the promise it held was incredible.

Ubisoft confirms Beyond Good & Evil 2 and I Am Alive are still in development

Hope may not be entirely lost for those looking forward to Beyond Good & Evil 2 as Ubisoft has confirmed the game is still in development.  Speaking with French gaming site Gamekult, Ubisoft France boss Geoffroy Sardin confirmed that the next-gen adventures of Jade and her pig companion Pey’j are still in production.
